Evan - my family live a few hours away by car. I don't know where my sister lives - I thought she lived at home with my parents when she wasnt at bethel - but I presume she lives with her husband!

Wouldn't you then be able to go down and pay them a visit, it would be hard for them to ignore you if your at their doorstep right? Or at least ask for your sisters location...

If what Defd told me was true in another post, some jw's take the shunning too far, maybe the local elder might help.... Idk just an idea

I'm sure you probebly thought of all these already...

Have you tried putting on a different voice or accent? Or even get a friend to do it for you?

if you were to come face to face with god tomorrow, what would you ask him/her/it????.

i know its probably been done before, but ive really been thinking about this lately.... i would ask him why he allows so many bad things to happen???

why are there kids starving to death in africa, whilest i can eat and eat and eat till im sick???

At times in this forum, I've written about a childhood dream I had. I would envision the faces of some of my school friends. Then at once I would see their flesh melt away, leaving only their skulls. I'm so intrigued by it to this day when I consider how unusually abstract and symbolic it was. It was not as if I was literally seeing fire consume them in in a kicking, screaming Armageddon scene. I pretty much just remember static face scenes--then their corresponding skulls. Yes, my mind's symbol of how Jehovah would kill my school friends.

A dream that you get in your sleep? Do you still get these dreams?

An interesting saying would be "There is enough for everyones needs, but not enough for everyones greed"

Why wait until you see God to ask these questions? You can ask these questions to him now through prayer, and search for the answers.

Nice idea the phoning thing but my father does not accept phone calls from me - haven't for years.

Can't you put your phone on private? Or pretend to be someone else until you get to him?

i wasnt prepared at all and so handled it not so well.

bear in mind the leaflet on display just made me feel physically ill.. the woman asked if i was interested in finding out god's purpose for the future.

Yah right.... you'd probebly be more likely crawling out the door....

Or even worse... a literal chalk outline of a body with Watchtower Magazines scattered everywhere

Evan I have 3 women at home. I know ALL about it.

LOL, but still its a different story if you show up unexpectedly at someones door step and you caught them in a bad mood.... whoa!

I've heard stories... no Urban Legends lol! Being a missionary must be a tough job ...but then again people say they don't always mean to be mean to JW's Mormons etc. They were just in a bad mood thats all....
