by alienagent ini am rather new here, so i may be repeating a worn out subject.
however, for me it is rather a new experience, since i have only just recently stopped going to the kh.
my heart has never really been in it, though i am not in total disagreement and have made some nice friends in "the truth".

Welcome Alienagent! Your experiance is nearly identical to mine. Whilst I left as a teenager, it was pretty much the same treatment, even trying to get my wife and kids invovled with guilt trips when the shunning didn't work on me. It was only when it became known that my wife and I had become members of the Baha'i Faith that they gave up, in fact, it seemed they became fearful of my presence. The silence was golden!

i can do one of several options from just buying new stickers for two years or i can get new plates with any combination of six figures.

Nearly Lost my Son Yesterday

when i got to the er, he was lying there in the bed.
he was bruised & scratched.

Does anyone know how or where I can go to interpret a dream?
by FreedomFrog inlast night i had a very disturbing nightmare.
i don't get nightmares often, but this one was pretty intense and detailed.
most of my dreams are either ok, confusing, or just a tad disturbing.

lovedubs, I see you still hang on to the JW mantra about using a fraction of our brains! That has never been substantiated, in fact it flies in the face of evidence. Sorry I'm not able to quote references now, but I remember in psych class many years ago making that claim ( a hold over from JW days) and being destroyed in front of the class by the professor. At least I had the wherewithal not to claim I got the information from the Afake magazine!

Kida, you're spot on! None of the religions that preceeded Jesus time "rejected" Him, nor did Muhammed who came 600 years after Him. By biblical standards, as quoted above, Muhammed and His followers who endorsed Jesus as "thee Christ" are "in" and the others are too by the similarity of their moral, ethical and spiritual teachings.

How Long Would They Last Without The Society?
by ThomasCovenant infollowing on a little from 2 topics (xjw critical mass) and (the real reason jw's don't accept blood) sorry but don't know how to show the links, i got to thinking: .
if the society were to finish publishing and closed down because of say bankruptcy from lawsuits, how long do you think the worldwide brotherhood would last?.
i feel this is a good question to ask those still in.would they still worship jehovah without the rigmarole of 5 meetings, personal study and preaching work and the monthly kingdom ministry and other regular literature.
