my cheeks are hurting.

i laughed so hard that i missed some of the precious fast moving dialogue!

my pbs station has begun to rerun old "fawlty towers" programming!!

British humor- Funny to a Christian?
There has been much buzz as of late about British shows such as Faulty Towers, Monty Python, etc. But with the subject matter that the producers hash out to get a quick laugh from the audience, a faithful Christian is wise to ask, "Is this really funny"? Let's apply bible standards. The Bible says that Jehovah does not like "unnatural acts". So, seeing as Jehovah hates homosexuals, surely he would not take kindly to men who dress like woman, much less the people who might find this brand of lewdness funny. So in light of this new information, a good Christian will realine his thinking with Jehovahs, and refrain from watching PBS.

Persecution Alert... OH THE HUMANITY!!

that's right, some of the local jws claim they are being persecuted by the city.

the big bad old government is ripping up the main drag where the local kh is situated to make way for extra lanes and a median on the road.

even the kh landscaping was ripped up and the road allowance was taken over by the government to build this new bit of road.

Reports are coming in of faithful brothers and sisters perceivering in the face of persecution! We know we are deep into the last days, due to the sheer magnitude of the prejudice experienced by this congregation! One would be wise to consider, is this a time to submit to Cesar, or stand up in the face of the enemy and demand the easy parking lot access so necessary since the days of Christ?

Should a Christian savor the sweet nectar of the blood orange?
When Christ told his disciples to eat the bread in representation of his body, and the wine as representation of his blood, it is clear he was making a parable. Only those of the "heavenly" class are allowed to partake in the emblems of Christ. This ceremony is reserved for one day of the year, when our brothers and sisters of the anointed class humbly give reverence to Jesus Christ by partaking in the emblems. Also, it is stated clearly in the Holy Bible that one must "abstain from blood". And we must not forget the punishment Adam and Eve recieved for eating the fruit. One should be especially cautious of a fruit that is described with words such as "blood" and "flesh". So, a faithful Christian should consider that Jehovah may look unfavorably at those who enjoy the savory juices of the blood orange when parusing the produce section and resist the temptations that satan has placed for us in the guise of a healthy snack.

I mean it is a fact that pumas and african lions cant breed together, they are different species, but the are both from the cat design. So humans and apes are from the primate design, we cant breed, so doesnt that make us cousins the same way that the lion and puma are cousins according to wts thinking?

Seattleniceguy I had seen this once before and forgot about it. This is so true. My brother in law is muslim and believes in creation but is not young earth. He believes the fossil layers prove that allah created different animals at different points in time. The bible says nothing about god creating more animals after genesis as far as I know. What would admitting to evolution do to the wts doctrines?
