  we have been reading about the medical-scientific pros and cons of blood transfusions but little has been said to refute what jw's .

  claim is the bible teaching on the subject.

  ajwrb covers this very well.

  I had a Elder from Seatle send the letter to the Society because I was to chicken after all the trouble here locally. They sent him a response that said please do not talk to others about this information. That was about it. No answer about the letter at all. I guess they could not answer the Letter.

  ita funny last night i looked through some awakes from 1991 through 2001.and i saw a lot of refrences saying the un is the beast from revaltion there is also a article about the pope visiting the un.you should all read it its the 1996 awake7/8 funny thing is why would some one who is surporting the un say these things about them.ovesly some people ar cluthing at straws

  LOL! I just called the Society office number that someone just posted and the lady was more than welcome to ansewr my question when I told her I had one ;and then suddenly when I slammed her with the UN question suddenly "calls we backing up" and she was simply the "switchboard operator" and that I should call back in the morning

  .Do that I have had many brothers and sisters call the information desk and everytime they tell the truth that they joined. But then tell the lies as to why.

  To all the people that have asked for my information thanks it makes me feel like I might have done something nice to help people. I have had over fifty people in the last month ask for the information several were going to use it at their local Hospitals and serveral have asked if they could use it on thier web pages. I had a member by the name Sandy that had an intresting story I hope she makes a thread about her own life story. Maybe some day my daughter will be old enough to do the same.

  I believe they would not answer you. They would say I need to look into this and then they would leave ask their Elders and the Elders would say to them not to come back.

  I had legal action taken by the State of Washington against me the State was going to give my little girl a transfusion against my wishes. Many years went by after this time I was the local hero for standing up for Jehovah against the State. At my book study a brother asked me why we can not auto transfuse our on blood becasue even the blood used for fractions coagulate before fractions are taken out.
  
  Man I know right then he was correct. I went home in desperation; I was going to find out the answer. So into the den I went, I almost never ate for a week. (I own my own business so I can do this) After I was done I was sick because I almost let my little girl die for a policy that is not found in the bible and the worse part I know the Borg knows it. I have shown this to Five Elders all agreed after going over the information for a while with me that I am correct. One Elders has quit and has not went back to the meetings for over four years now, One Elder put his head between his legs and cried. One Elder has almost quit going to the meetings and his wife called and told me to never talk to her husband again. Since this information hit this area so hard two C.O.’s came to my house and before they left both agreed the bible does not teach the no blood policy. They would love to DF me but I only used the bible and the Society's publications to make my point. Beside to DF me because of blood after proving so faithful would have huge implications in the local area so they leave me alone. Anyone that wants the information please PM me and I'll sent it to you. No where that I can find on the NET even comes close to the information that I have.

  NHS stuff about blood

  a sister sent me this link via email, and i found it threw me all over again.

  i just dont know what to think about the whole blood transfusion issue.. it's a nhs site.. (for us etc, thats government health, not witness related at all) and seems to be backing up totally the wt thing about blood being dangerous.. i want some other opinions, it's one jw belief i dont know what to think about!.

  I read the link but admit I have not read any of the post above. Yes I agree with what is said, but fractions that the JW's use have the more risks involved than with transfusions the. JW that sent you the link should be made aware of this fact. With fractions the possibilty increase many folds. Every person that a fraction comes from increases the chance of getting a blood disease by 1 X or 100% so if it takes 100 different donations to make one dosage of fractions the chance of getting an blood disease is increased by 100 TIMES. All JW that I know do not even think about this when they are spouting off about the dangers of Blood transfusions. So a blood transfussion is safer than the JW's use for fractions.

  the translation, word for word from the greek, reads, "who was manifested in flesh.

  " the american standard uses "he who"; other versions use the word "which".

  PMJ the 1991 Watchtower says that any church today that joins the UN is likened to Israel when Babylon destroyed GOD’s nation. The Watchtower say that Israel joined that day’s UN and that was why it was destroyed. The article goes on to bring out by joining this day’s UN a church enters that same convent of death just like Israel did. The same fate awaits any church that joins the UN today. The Society asked to join the UN in 1991 the same year the article was printed. The president of the Writing Department was
  Ciro Aulicino which by the way is one of the men who singed to get us into the UN. Also the Governing body has to agree to an article before it is printed. What the HELL in writing they said this read the 1991 Watchtower and look up every scripture.

  PMJ you said we were grasping at straws LOOK AT THE 1991 Wat: June 1 pages 15-21 Is what the Society say about joining the UN. Remember the only way a chruch can join the UN is by becoming an NGO. I call this mag. the SMOKING GUN the Elders were told here to never agian talk to me about that MAGAZINE article. It say and I quot word for word.

  11 A recent book gives an idea when it states: “No less than twenty-four Catholic organizations are represented at the UN. Several of the world’s religious leaders have visited the international organization.   It states a recent Book Here the exact quote from that book notice what the 1991 Watchtower did not include in its quote:

  The Society Quotes from Muller's book but does not include the words non-governmental organizations.
