  i thought after recently reading the bible i would put up for disussion some recent scriptures up which for me show that jesus never viewed himself as god and anyone listening would also see it this way too.. first mark 10 :17-20.

  Petrol prices drop so a Brother told me the bookstudy is back on!!

  my good friend told me the bookstudy would be back on if petrol prices drop!!!!

  of course this never effected those witnesses who were too poor to own a car....who crossed crocodile infested rivers...got malaria....attacked by bandits just to make it to the bookstudy....."daddy we lost little johnny in the river!

  Sorry Joseph...very weak argument there. He is described as 'sat' in verse 11 and verse 19. You are trying to chop this up the same way the WT chops up verses to support their own doctrine. Perhaps a reading comprehension class would be helpful for you rather than the one in eisogesis you seem to have taken.

  His own manuscript? I read some of his book Beyond the WT. I couldn't quite figure out if he had any affiliation though.

  What makes you think that you can jump from one Bible book to another to prove this point? Similar seeming situations, identical time and context? Welll then, what makes you think that this vision and the Person John saw in it:

  19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

  He is sitting!

  Is not the same person seen again in this vision that followed that one:

  17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; 18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. 19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. 20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. 21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

  Anyone that can read should at least be able to see that much.

  Joseph have you read these verses??? Come on! In verse 11 Jesus is sitting. Verse 19 refers to him still sitting. Verse 17 makes clear the angel is standing in the sun. Jesus is sitting on a horse.

  but in this case we both only believe in One God and that Jesus is his son.

  My reply: Ok, only one God. If there is only one God there is only one Lord. Is the Father called Lord? Is the Son called Lord?

  1st Thess 4: 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

  This is Jesus descending...what about 'with the voice of an archangel? keep reading...

  and in righteousness He judges and wages war. 12 His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. 13 He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. 15 From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. 16 And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, “KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”

  ahh, the loud command and the voice of the archangel- which is simply a captain angel...
