One year ago today......
by confuzzled777 inat this very moment one year ago today my dh and i were in an "interview" with 2 elders in regards to a night out in late november 2009. that "interview" turned into my judicial committee with a 3rd elder who just happened to be at the hall that night........because of admitting to having been drunk on occassion over the years with the most recent being 2 years prior.
the "interview/impromtu judicial committee lasted almost 3 hours as they tried to convince me that i had stabbed jah and asked what i was going to do to correct my drinking habits.
i am not a huge drinker......just like to drink socially with friends once in a while.

Hmm, ok. Not judging you one way or the other- so please don't take it that way. Just something to think on- and don't answer it here- but I understand you are coming back for your SIL. If that doesn't come to pass, what is there to finish and why? Just something to think on...not a judgment in any way.
Df status is a meaningless status, except to JWs who believe in the org- and sadly to those victimized by it. I am not telling you what to do...at all. Just giving you something to evaluate- if you want to.

Noolite on petty gambling
by hamsterbait inpre-echoes of this impending change came in a public edition magazine about 3 years ago.. it was a right hand page.. it said that gambling for pennies was not an issue, (wish i had kept this).
now the elduhs book page 70 says that petty gambling is not a judicial offence.. presumably then it is the small size of the stake, or the small winnings that makes it okay.
in witchtowerland size really does matter.. just as "a little bit of the blood" makes that okay as opposed to going the whole hog.. why dont they apply this to kissing?

most people leave christendom's churches because their prayers go unanswered and there's no evidence that god intervenes in their personal lives.

Why don't you link to a story instead of making up your own. None-the-less, a person can make a personal inquiry into this and find out for themselves. There's no reason for a person to close their mind based on anything you've said.
