last night i watched a show that, i thought, really shows the attitude of jws towards the rest of the world.

it was extremely enlightening and i hope it opened alot of peoples eyes that think jws are just nice christian people, but are not a cult.

it was a show on "e" that is called "opening act".

Christ Alone, thanks for sharing. Very interesting read...and you are so right- the average person thinks of JW's as nice people/law-abiding....different....but do not know the half of it.

i have been repeatedly pleaded with to read the books of ray franz in my short stay on this board.

apparently these are all the all-powerful, wt crushing arguments, that lead so many to leave jw's and become ruthless opposers of god's people.

we can discuss any claims/statements/scriptural arguments presented in either of his books, as long as it somehow proves jehovah's witnesses are not god's people.

every good tree produces fine fruit.

How to identify the true religion? Hmm, one way to disqualify a group from that category would be whether or not their history is checkered with false prophecies. Would the Jehovah's Witnesses, by any chance, have ever preached any false prophecies??

You are absolutely correct- the classification as faithful slave or wicked slave is given at the end, judgment day...not before.

I am not so active in posting here anymore...but if Recovery really does want to learn he is quite capable of doing his own research and homework. This topic has been discussed numerous times on this board over the years- in detail...and elsewhere on the web I am sure. The Matt 24/25 account is simply a series of parables/illustrations warning Christians to keep on the watch, as well as the ultimate rewards (and eventuality) for those found to be watchful (or not watchful)...a look at the parallel account in Luke 12 shows a parallel where 2 of the 3 persons judged are faithful- which itself debunks the WT claim, since they claim to be God's sole channel of truth.

It is quite obvious, given the WT tainted (to say the least) track record, that even if God operated solely thru an organization, it most certainly would not be the one associated with Jehovah's Witnesses.
