A "friend" has died.

i met this man 17 years ago - new to the city, he was an elder in the congregation.

his personality was warm and loud - (a new yorker, of course) -- i had left home, but i was reminded of home every time he opened his mouth.

one of the most endearing things about him was the way he pronounced jehovah - with an "er" at the end, more like jehover... boy was he loud and warm.

just wondered as im prob about to give up so much, coz i dont think it is the truth but its come as such a shock!.

my family believe it so much, my dad feels he can answer any question i have, and being brought up in it sometimes it scares me.

thanks loads you guys i know what i want to do stop trying to get reinstated and live my life the way i want, i know thats what i must do but coz ill hurt my family so much and have stupidly promised them ill be back soon it is hard,

but whats hard is why cant i be as convinced as you guys i guess its years of thinking those apostates wont fool me (sorry, you know what i mean!) and that only the jws have the truth, but i want to believe it so m uch i want to be free of the jws for good,
