your JW experience hides something deeper
by seesthesky inas odd as this may sound i believe that your continual struggle with your past life as a jw is in fact a cover for something else - i do not know what that something else is but i am almost 100 percent certain that somehow someone or something has used your jw experience to disguise some greater violation of your souls - any thoughts?

Do any small creatures frighten & freak you out?
by Rod P inhere's the dirty dozen: .
1) ants- imagine being buried in a sandpile up to your neck with sand.
along come a bunch of ants from an ant colony, and they crawl all over your head, in and out of your nose, your mouth, your ears, your eyes, and all thru your hair.

Ewww! LOL All of the above plus locusts. Those ones that come swarming out of the ground every 17 years and take over for an entire summer. The noise is awful, a constant droning hum, they have beady red eyes, are rather large and quite creepy looking, and they are everywhere!
The year I turned 17 in northern Illinois was a locust year. Had to wear a hat everywhere because they'd land in your hair. Ugh. I remember sunbathing on our porch roof (because it was high and fewer of the buggers would be up there). I'd take a broom with me to swat them away. ::shivers::

Welcome!
You can find images online that you like, right click and save to your computer. You can take a picture yourself or use one you already have and scan it (if you have a scanner) or upload it (if you have a digital camera).
You'd need some sort of photo/graphics program to reduce the size to at least 100 x 100 pixels (1.389 x 1.389 inches) or smaller (not sure about what is recommended for the board these days...I saw something about 50 x 50, but that's so small it's hard to see). Then follow love11's directions above.

Do you have more faith
by Honesty inin jesus, the bible, god's promises since you left the jw's?
-

I don't know. I'm still disassembling the JW belief structure I allowed myself to be programmed with.
Although I've been away from them for a while now, I only recently came to the realization that the religion I so believed in is a bunch of smoke and mirrors. Right now my faith is like a raw wound that I hesitate to poke and prod too much. I'm afraid to believe anything at the moment.
We'll see where I am in a year or two.

Is 2034 ''New Light''?
by MidwichCuckoo inbear with me.
over the years jw have always strived after/prophesied (even though they deny this) a carrot ''date''.
as dates come and go, we hear about ''new light'', but according to the wt :-a new view of truth never can contradict a former truth.

I've been pretty much gone since early 2001, and I don't remember hearing any speculation about 2034. Makes sense that people would try to come up with something, though. Keeps the embers of faith glowing to know that things are "coming soon".
I'm waiting to see what happens with the WTS when the oldtimers on the GB are all gone. One assumes they are
planningreceiving theirstratagy"new light" now. -

Not grounded yet here either. LOL When I first started my fade, I made some internet friends with similar interests and was busily flying around the country
hiding from realityhaving a good time....Now I'm paying off debt acquired from said travel (as well as my son's education expenses).Seems like I'm either living in a dream world or recovering from the effects so far.

LMAO!
There used to be a blog I'd check out regularly that had the occasional entry "written" by this guy's cats. It was a hoot. I was so sad when he closed up shop.
