  Typical "paradise earth" speech

  hi just want a little help with a paradise earth speech that jehovah's witnesses normally give.. i want to have this as my intro for my oral presentation.

  can some people please help and tell me a typical paradise earth speech.. imagine that you have knocked on my door and i answered it now the presentation of yours...... evanescence

  Do you honestly believe that, like the pictures on wt's, that the best God can do is having everybody living in nice saltbox houses, perfectly blacktopped driveways with two children playing on a manicured lawn with a panda bear, and last but not least a nice brand new (i think it was) minivan? Do you think God cannot do better than the combustible engine? Where do people get their clothing that looks like it came from textile mills? Metal for cars? must need lawnmowers by the pictures I see in the wt's. Where and who produces such items? Don't those factories contribute to pollution? Is Paradise a place we must still put in our 40 hours per week, maybe two weeks of vacation? How is anything the wt describes as paradise a paradise to you? Because finally there will only be jw's around?

  I find that everytime a jw is in the news or one does something 'bad', the explanation by jw's is that he/she wasn't a 'real' jw. When in reality, they sin just like everybody else. They just try harder to cover it up. So you have cong's all over the world filled with sinners, will they make it to the so called paradise? Don't jw's realize that their brand of paradise sounds like a hell to outsiders? And is not biblical either.

  "you will agree that...." Why do jw's start so many sentences that way?! Annoying! Is it in some manual or something? isn't that rather presumptuous of them to think I would agree with anything? Or is it just my jw? I know he finds it difficult not to start a sentence like that. It annoyed me so much I finally asked why he would think I would agree before the words were even out of his mouth. So he does try not to say that. Is this common? thanks, carla

  Birthdays-How Ridiculous the wts is

  the celebration of birthdays is banned by the wts.

  but from what i have seen from dubs, they actually take it one step further.

  they wont even acknowledge someones birthday!

  What they forget (or choose not to mention) is the birth of Christ was celebrated, the angels sang, etc... Pharaoh also let one live on his birthday. Killed one let the other live. I'm sure for the guy who didn't get killed, it sure was a good day! Is the day evil or are people evil? carla

  you will be interested to learn that god has on earth a people, all of whom are prophets, or witnesses for god.

  They use the word 'prophet' in a totally different sense. In asking them they may reply, 'we are prophets in the sense that, (note not the usual meaning to the rest of the world) we spread the word of God (jihivih). I asked an elder once about the false prophecies once and his reply was that they never used the word 'thus', as in 'thus, sayeth the Lord'. I said, 'are you kidding? just because they didn't use the word 'thus' and 'sayeth' they aren't guilty of false prophecy?" With a straight face he said yes! I asked him how many people actually use the word 'thus' or 'sayeth' today or even since the early 1900's. No response. Change the subject. Typical. carla

  i might be a bit green on this one....but no one has ever given me a satisfactory explanation of how all the millions of kinds of insects survived the flood....any thoughts?

  Lucky you! sounds like she is attempting to discover on her own the 'truth' about the truth. Probably the best way. I too have just recently contacted friends & relatives and asked them to invite him/us to things so he can be around nonjw's as much as possible. Wishing you all the best! carla

  JW Shunning Does Accomplish A Lot Of Good...

  because it shows everyone in the community how cruel, unloving, hateful and distorted the cult can be at a moment's notice.

  when a jw shuns an ex-member in public as the ex-member greets the jw with a smile and in a friendly manner the normal reaction of people who see this is repugnancy.

  they see how hypocritical the jw's are because they go 'from house to house' proclaiming their love for other people and then display their real hearts when they encounter an ex-member.

  I'm donating blood for the first time ever next week......

  I started giving blood again due to all this jw crap in my house. I figure someone has to give some blood to make up for all the blood jw's use up 'not using blood'! You will be fine. I think you will feel great afterwards! Good luck! carla
