it is my understanding that samuel herd basically tells the rank and file that old light is new light and the new light of july, 2013 is now old light.
to be specific, herd states that the official stance on whether or not the annointed remaining on earth, to include the governing body, will all be in heaven prior to armageddon.. at this same annual meeting tony morris iii tells those in attendance that stephen letts' statement that "we're living in the final part of the last days, undoubtedly the final part of the final part of the last days!

Haven't the numbers of 'partakers' been rising for years now? Aren't they considered 'anointed'? or are they considered mentally diseased or something? If the numbers of anointed keep rising then won't it take longer for the big A to get here with the new light that all the anointed will be in heaven beforehand?
Does every jw see the annual meeting at the same time? If not and there is new light then people who are not yet aware of the new light are still possibly teaching old light, false teachings in fact apostate teachings according to dubland. How do they reconcile this in their minds? If new light is truly from jah then shouldn't it be put out there immediately so misinformation is not spread? (in the old days when they still had meetings, conventions, etc... this was more of a problem, pre internet days)
It would be interesting to see a chart from Russell days to today on the flip flops regarding this issue.
Does anyone remember the gb member (rubber face guy) who said something to the effect that we (non jw's) would be like burnt hotdogs? he said something to that effect with glee and excitement in my opinion. Not very Christ like. But then nothing associated with the jw's is very Christ like.

Snowman at assembly hall
by road to nowhere ina few years ago i built a 6 inch snowman on a picnic table at the assembly hall.
just whimsy during lunch, no one was out in the cold.
i thought maybe some kids would get a little enjoyment.

What's wrong with a snowman? I remember some people on this board saying they put seasonal themed items in their yard and didn't get blowback from elders. Snowflakes, snowmen, floral flag in spring as decoration, etc.... though come to think of it, one of the people did say they were married to the elder at that time so 'rules for thee but not for me' comes to mind.

Watchtower Study on 5th December.
by Lost in the fog inthe wt study for this week is all about disfellowshipping.
in an early paragraph it said "think how heartbroken jehovah must have been when members of his own angelic family turned their back on him!".
however when you think about it, when this happened according to the wt teaching, jehovah still engaged with satan in the heavens (book of job) and had conversations with him about what was going on in the earth.. so why do the wt org practice shunning when jehovah god obviously didn't?.

The rest of the story; our Christian neighbors saw how little we had and were often hungry, guess they saw us dumpster diving one day and led them to leave groceries on our step. Our vehicle was an old vintage Mopar that is highly sought after by gear heads but we were hanging onto it because it was fun and reminded us of our pre jw teen days cruising around trying to pick up girls and look cool. -

Do any of you still have contact with the witnesses?
by Snoozy ini have a daughter of a old witness friend that i knew since she was born.
she obviously has mental problems like her mom did so i just go with it .
she is a sweet kid but was recently hooked on pain pills bad.

If you must talk with her then tell her you will not discuss anything jw related. If she brings it up tell you have to go, say goodbye and hang up. Keep doing it until she gets it. Or do as the previous posters say and tell her that her negativity is affecting your well being and you just can't do it anymore. -
