Ok, as a non never been jw I either find this really creepy or amusing, I can't decide which- "...76 individuals in his circuit have been re-activated". I kind of have science fiction vibe going in my head

The Left and Present Truth
by neat blue dog inadd yet another jw similarity to the list:.
they say now the difference between a conspiracy theory and the truth is a matter of weeks.
things like the effectiveness of masks and the vaccine, the origin of covid-19 in a lab, clinton spying on trump, the existence of a pedophile ring for the elites and more, things branded as conspiracy theories have been proven true.

"Has anyone noticed how for a long time, you find out news on the internet and then a week later your local news channel has it as a breaking story?"-
good grief, I sometimes thought I was suffering from the Mandela effect or something! There are things I could have sworn I read about years and years ago and now all of a sudden it is new news. Who knew? well, no kidding, that was written about x amount of years ago and written off as goofy, woo-woo or 'unscientific and unproven' at the time.
Comparing it to jw-ism is true. I should not have a tongue left from biting it so often when my jw will come out with something that is 'new news' when I told him about it years ago and he looked at me like I was the nutcase. Yet he cannot believe anything about jw's that doesn't jive with current light. It is maddening. breathe, shake head, silent roll of the eye, sigh....
I am of the opinion there is no real news, it all seems to be 'opinion news' or simply repeated news from some major source. It is like changing the channel from one National Enquirer story to the next. No offense to National Enquirer but it used to be considered a 'less than' or 'rag' paper of sorts and often a bit looney. Not sure if it is even still in existence, haven't noticed at the check out lines.

"I’m wondering if after 99.99% of the population is executed if there will be enough people to keep the power stations open"- is that after they help jah & the birds clean up our sorry butts? you mean someone will have to stop playing with their pet tigers and panda bears and go to work for awhile? is that really a paradise then? is it still a 9-5 sort of deal?
First the jw's have to clean up dead bodies for what? about 1000 yrs or something then they get our nice now empty homes along with exotic pets and they have to go back to work on top of it? hmm, no thanks, don't even get a good steak dinner out of the deal.

why do they say jehovah god?- Exactly! I used to ask my jw why they did that. Did they need to differentiate between bob god and jah god?

I never understood the whole name thing to begin with. If God is your heavenly Father why would you call him by his name? sounds disrespectful to me. They don't call their earthly parents by their given names do they? (just forget for the moment that jehovah isn't even correct to begin with)
In the same vein I also find some Christians use "so blessed" as a throwaway as well. (by Christians I mean non jw's as I do not consider jw's as Christian)

"Are you the plumber?"
by Jourles ini've been debating whether or not to post this story simply because the org knows who i am (post history from pre-'05 will tell you all you need to know), and i'm not sure if they would give my parents shit if they knew what transpired earlier this summer.
but you know what, i don't care what they do, because my mom is dying of stage iv cancer and i feel this needs to be heard by anyone struggling with the loss of contact from their relatives.. for those who are not familiar with my background, i became a small thorn in the side of the wts while i was still in.
i'm not big on being deceived, and for me, the org crossed my personal 'red line' when it came to blood and the child abuse issue.

How nice Jourles! so glad you all have come to some sort of acceptance of sorts.
Sorry to laugh at her nine lives, I know when my Mom was dying and she worried that it was a burden she said, "you know you can't hurry it or make it happen" nearly broke my heart. I was in no hurry for her to go but in other strange news she did wait until a certain birthday had passed by until she went (we are all non jw) I simply reminded her in her unconscious state that it was so & so's birthday that next day and I don't care if you don't believe me but she waited until the next day because birthdays were always a big deal in our family (don't worry, no beheadings). She wouldn't have wanted her death to be a life long reminder on someone's birthday. You hear stories like that all the time if you are willing to see them.

Counseling for Ex JW
by Iamallcool ini have been thinking that it would be very nice if the us government would be willing to fund ex jw counseling services all over the united states.
i understand that many counselors do not really understand ex jw issues but we can educate them if we have additional funds, etc…if someone here is willing to write a letter to their local representative about it, that would be great!

From my understanding it seems that many therapists do not understand high control groups/cults very well whichever flavor they may be. People have complained that they have to educate the therapist before they can get down to getting actual help. It is very frustrating for the client of the therapist to have to pay an hourly fee for educating the therapist.
The therapists often don't understand why the person just didn't leave the group, not understanding shunning or whatever pain the high control/cult inflicts on its members who choose to believe differently. It makes no sense to me that a therapist isn't somewhat educated in this or couldn't spend even a half hour learning about it but apparently many don't.
That very reason of 'why didn't you just leave' is the reason there will never be any special governmental help for specific cults/high control groups. They didn't hold an actual gun to your head just your entire family and social structure. I wonder if a diagnosis of PTSD would be better financially speaking? I am not sure how insurances work regarding mental health issues.
Whenever I (a non & never been jw) would try to discuss why I was so opposed to jw's in general to non jw's they often truly did not believe me when I told them about 'apostates', shunning, how child sexual abuse is handled, blood issue and so on. Once someone said I was the one with the problem and they refused to even look at the official jw site, apostate sites, books or legal documents from actual court cases. They still see jw's as just some quirky group that dresses nice and at least they 'truly live their faith by knocking on peoples doors to tell them about God'.
I know nothing about the therapist link I posted above other than what her website says.

Unfortunately I see some sort of false flag scenario coming, I know that sounds paranoid. I have seen Canadian Vets shoveling a monument, elderly ladies staying up all night baking muffins, Polish immigrants bringing food and all kinds of nice things people are doing! If some sort of criminal activities do happen I think they will be from the other side and made to look like it is the trucker faction doing it.
Shania Law, ha, I Iike that!
I am in the U. S. and there are many, many videos of just plain nice people and all very law abiding in my opinion, coming across fb it is incredible. I also see that many other countries are planning their own trucker convoys.
