Do they still have these talks? This was one of the main reasons my kids were never allowed anywhere near a kh. I think it is a criminal offense to expose children to these things. When I have told non jw's about this they (almost all) say something to the effect of, "someone tries to talk to my kids about this crap I would beat the shit out of them!" then they would say, "really? they really talk about this like in a sermon?"

i was a child, looking back now, i realise that they systematically stripped away our childhood innocence, we knew and heard things no 'worldly' child would have heard.. the child abuse and grooming happened to every single one of us, the feelings of guilt and shame was in all of us even if we didn't actually do anything bad, the mental images caused by these filthy men hung around in our innocent minds till there was no room for that innocence.. it has taken me 44 years to realise that what was done to us, even those of us not physically abused, is a crime.. do they still have talks like that nowadays i wonder?

I remember telling my jw some of the horrors of this story, you can guess his response. All apostate lies, made up , blah, blah.... I printed out the news story and he naturally refused to read it.
You can't tell me that one person in the kh didn't have some knowledge of this or suspicions over a 19 year period! They were in protect the org mode, every one of those people share in the guilt. They were more worried about their own skin (not getting df'd) and protecting this rotten insidious cult than protecting innocent children.

Remember the disgust they had when Christians would always be talking and singing about Jesus? remember when they would say things like, "it's like they are in love with Jesus or something!"
They made fun of songs like 'Jesus Take the Wheel' or even children's songs like 'Jesus Loves Me'.
Jesus has always been a minor actor in their world. They aren't even allowed to talk (pray) to Jesus, their supposed King. I think this is all a ruse to look more mainstream because they are bleeding adherents lately. If you remember you can't fully know what the wt teaches until you join. That is what a few elders and my jw told me. You mean the wt doesn't actually say what it means? oh, kind of like a cult? or mlm scheme?
They use Jesus' name like a talisman at the end of a prayer, lip service is all.

perhaps the revised shepherding textbook must be finalised before this watchtower is released publicly.. the 2 subjects may be as follows:.
how to shepherd and appoint brothers based on the removal of the hour requirements, getting to know the brothers instead (does this mean prioritising appointing men who have auxiliary pioneered during the co visit and campaigns or men who are regular pioneers?).

I used to think they treated my jw as, "poor brother x, his wife is an opposer and he remains loyal blah, blah..."
Now I wonder if they will say, "brother x has had what? 20 years or so and still no family and his wife is still an opposer and persecutes us!"

If the elders have no financial responsibility how is this possible? The elders could make the spouse end up responsible for all medical care even if the jw had changed their mind or outright lied to the spouse about all of it as jw's are prone to do.
Have there been legal battles between adult patient families and jw elders?
Also, I did not notice the spot for allowing fractions or which ones, etc... is that still on current blood cards?
As a ubm this makes me sick to my stomach to think at the point of death me & my family will have to deal with jw's yet again.
