  and its over "why moral restraint...not removed when 10 commandments passed away".

  so i think this is talking about why the people in the greek scriptures couldnt do their neighbors wife, or you couldnt kill your neighbor even though the 10 commandments wasnt there.

  how many bible scriptures should i use?

  What are you guys talking about? part 4 talk? Is this part of some speech he MUST do at the kh? please enlighten me. At what point does one have to do this? Males only I'm supposing. Baptized only too? It sounds like a repetetive thing that takes place on a semi regular basis, only people are allowed some of their own wording? thanks for the info, carla

  PS- why would a guy who is a ms, just now be giving a 'public talk'? and it won't be till mid winter, do they think it will take him that long to preprare or what? As far as I know he gets to hold the mich. and of course does 'studies' with people, fs, etc...

  Our Friend, Outnfree, Needs Our Help!

  as most of you are aware, our friend, brenda, aka outnfree, has been diagnosed with breast cancer and is undergoing chemo.

  i asked her if she would mind if we did a weekly prayer vigil and she said that she would appreciate it.

  she thinks that thursdays would be good since that is when she goes to the doctor to receive the chemo.

  What really bothers me about my JW research.

  some of you may know, but i have been on a serious journey through watchtower "theology", and by association, have gone back all through the history of christianity.

  i know many on this list have gone thru the same thing.

  i have checked out probably 100 archeological, religious, and history books from the library.

  Great post! Aside from people dying, (not to minimize it) isn't it interstesting that if you needed a cornea transplant in 1979, to bad, go blind, then in 1980 all is well, you may go ahead with the transplant, we will now allow you the gift of sight. I applaud your research, I too am researching. Only I don't know quite how to bring what I have learned to husband. carla

  he saw everything, even religion, as a legal case.

  Post cards are a wonderful way to plant a few seeds. Short and to the point, almost can't help but to read them. Someone else also offers postcards, very colorful. Wish I could remember who. Nice job. carla

  when we see news reports of jehovahs witnesses who are reported to have done something bad, what do we think?

  sometimes people ridicule us for that.

  obey and become his special property, disobey and be rejected.

  I thought everytime a jw does something bad the typical response is, "well, he/she isn't a real jehovah's witness". That's the response I get. If a person is an elder, puts in as much time as a pioneer, lives, eats & breathes the jw org, how could he not be a "real" jw? You mean jw's commit sins too?! shocking! carla

  i just had a "sister" leave our house... she was getting her hair done, by my wife.... she is married to a demoted-elder and is very r&f... her poor hubby has been on the receiving end of so much abuse from the borg... and they "don't understand it".. i've been sowing seeds of "new light" with her from jwd and even though their sitch just keeps getting worse and worse and her hubby just keeps getting more and more depressed... she actuall laid on me today the old " but where else can we go?

  only the wts has the truth".. i thought i was going to puke.... she even laid out the old " don't forsake the gathering of yourselves"...proof we need to be at the meetings.

  even though she admits that that is where the source of all the abuse eminates.

  Oh, that stupid question, where else can we go? If they would bother to pick up their Bible they would see the question isn't 'where' but, to whom. I brought this up to husband a while back when he said if I could find somewhere else better to let him know. I reminded him that it was to 'whom' not where (meaning Jesus not an org) he just said that's right and we both let it go. I'm trying a new tact at the moment. carla

  i was lucky to have been brought up in the troof, because if i hadnt, i wouldnt have known about the demons and how they are always looking for opportunities to lead us astray by appearing as ghosties, or by making household objects float, or by getting into our house through items bought from car boot sales.. my first memories of the deemunz was quite early, say aged 5 or 6. i used to think they were at the end of the bed, and so i had to sleep with my legs curled up as tightly as possible, so they wouldnt get my toes.

  i cant even begin to think what terrible things they were going to do with my piggies, but sure as the apostles i wasnt going to give them a chance.. aged 7 or 8 i knew the deemunz were after me, because i was special.

  i was a jehobas witness.

  Question for all of you- the use of jehovah's name when demons are present, isn't that kind of like pagan chanting or something? Are jw's really taught to say The Name when they think demons are present? thanks, carla

  ok was lying awake last night @ 3am wondering: when jw's build a hall in a weekend how do they get an inspectors approval so quickly?

  ( i know i need a life).

  i mean various portions need to be inspected before the next step can be built, right?

  why on the decorating shows from the uk do they not use paint rollers?

  they often show them painting an entire room with small brushes.
