  Double Standards with Liberal Witness Friends

  i'm sure this may have been covered, but many ex witnesses i know that have not been formally df'd or dissasociated thenselves still retain some friends among witnesses.

  any friends i have for the most part that are still in the org are really congenial people, until it comes down to any discussion that might teeter on the edge of being remotely deep.

  i've had one friend i hadn't seen in a while who came to visit me tell me right off the bat that we were not to "discuss religion", because i'm "too smart" and he "he won't be able to argue" with me.

  Just a comment;
  In your discussions with non-dub friends, they can be open to admitting to being wrong or at the least accepting the fact that your viewpoint has merit. A dub cannot.It would mean the WTS™ (AKA; god) is wrong.
  
  Everything they know has to be right or the whole world WTS™ construct starts to unravel. Hence, the warnings to stay away from rabid apostates at all costs.
  
  I know they might be nice enough people, but you are never going to get the kind of close friendship you are seeking as long as they remain in.

  MY BIRTHDAY TODAY...

  ...happy birthday to me....happy birthday to me..... hi everyone!

  we'll most likely do a nice dinner tonight as a family (husband, daughter and i), and i will have to buy my own cake.

  but we can never call it a birthday anything...the very mention of the term freaks him out!

  if you have a need to hate the wts then so be it.. but don't hate all jw's, that is just wrong .. you preach that you have found truth, if that were the case then where is your love for all humans?.

  But don't hate all JW's, that is just wrong . I sense a greater degree of pity for those stuck inside rather than an all-inclusive attitude of hate. Certainly there are specific instances mentioned and often the hatred is well-deserved. Where do you see that we hate of all dubs?
  
  You preach that you have found truth, if that were the case then where is your love for all humans? Again, cite examples of those preaching they have truth. In many cases, we are finding what works for us and us alone.

  philippians 1:9

  similarly, accurate knowledge is needed for you to be motivated to believe in god.

  first, i haven't attended a meeting for 5 mmonths now!

  i have an amazing network of friends here, and i'm going to be rooming with 2 hot girls next semester.

  Creepy JW Music for Kids!

  maybe this has already been posted or you're familiar with it but i just discovered this on itunes.

  it's being sold on itunes.. the subject matter alone is enough to make you want to barf but get a load of the music and singing talent on this little gem.

  a couple of the tracks landed in an imix of the worst music on itunes.

  one of the salons i go to asked me if i would like to be a model for a new product....(skin tanning product).

  they want to take pictures of me, and have me up in some of their salons.

  i don't get paid, but i get a few perks!

  JoJo's Story.......

  well.......i figured it's about time to tell my story...bear with me, it's close to bedtime and i'll probably have to break this up.... .

  i was born on may 22, 1985 into a family full of dubs minus the dad...my father never had much to do w/ religion.

  after that, it's pretty much blank, except for what was recounted to me by family members..
