How old were you when you were baptized?
by moomanchu in.
reading hellriders topic made me wonder about this.. i waited till i was 21 because i was drinking alcohol as a youth and didn't want to get baptized while breaking the law.
man that is screwed up, seemed reasonable at the time.

High School Prom
by Larry ingreetings folks - it's been a while since i posted anything.
the other day i was talking to my daughter about her prom - dress, limo, etc....and it dawned on me that i never went to my prom.
obviously being a jdub was a big reason why i didn't go or had any desire to go.

I went to one party through my whole high school years. It was fun, but I was too chicken to stretch the rules in public like that.

jw, I'm willing to wager you don't have a theory of your own that isn't a cut and paste list of scripture.

Why bother to post our opinions?
You are just going to throw bible verses back at us and claim we are wrong. -

Has Anyone Read "Lamb" by Christopher Moore?
by tall penguin ini just finished reading the book "lamb" by christopher moore.
its subtitle tells all: "the gospel according to biff, christ's childhood pal.
" basically, it's a humorous fictional account of the 30 year gap in christ's life that the gospels don't really talk much about.

"Bloodsucking Fiends; A love Story" is great. It's the first book I ever read by him.
"Coyote Blue" is a story with the trickster god
But Start with "Practical Demonkeeping"*, it sets the stage and introduces characters (re-used or at least mentioned) for "The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove", "The Island of the Sequined Love Nun", "The Stupidest Angel", and "Fluke".
In the same vein but wholly different is James P. Blaylock's "The Last Coin". Probably my favorite book right after "Little, Big"
*plus it has a funny dub reference -

I have. In fact I met Christopher Moore at a book signing here. I recommend pretty much all his books.

I found this and am in total agreement. Feel free to answer the Questions.
by jw inregardless of how you feel about jehovah's organization--the true religion, one thing for sure, you will not escape the almighty jehovah's judgement right along with satan the devil and his destructive organization.
how will you save yourself and those who follow you...?
it's ashame that your energies could not be put to a more positive use.

My mom started a study when I was 10. I got baptized at 14 mostly because my best friend did.
