should the governing body have yearly mental fitness check up by a qualified pychologist to make sure they are not mentally ill since they have such an important work as stated in the 4/15 p. 29 watchtower: thus the governing body can spend more time in preparing spiritual food and in otherwise caring for the spiritual needs of the worldwide brotherhood.1/15, pages 29, 31.. if they have such an important work as this,, one would think it mandatory that they have a check up at least once a year, that's not to much to ask is it?

I personally don't see the concern from JW point. IF these men have ALWAYS been inspired by Holy Spirit, then a little mortal mental illness isn't going to overpower the Spirit.I think they're pretty 'safe' in that respect.

Meat eating preditors will eat grass like a lamb!
by jimakazi ini am always a little pi***d when i see jw illustrations showing lions and tigers in the close vacinity of samll children, lambs and other meaty treats with no safety barriers.
[why this is paradise is beyound me - these anaimals smell].. so if we assume an intelligent creator, why would he create large meat eating preditors if he really ment them to eat grass?
every thing about their make up is about specialistation, from teeth, to jaws, to how their stomachs work.

yep - that's what I was told - back to how it was in the beginning. But, like you and many others, I am partial to meat. I am designed to be a meat eater. Now you have started this thread, I am curious to know why God created animals (including humans) with specific dentistry.

Eagerness To Shun Bound To Fade
by Englishman inmy own parents gave up shunning me after i was disfellowshipped.
they kept it up for about 3 years and then just sort of gradually folded.
here in wsm, most of the witnesses who remember me can't be arsed with the shunning thang any more.

I personally haven't experienced ''shunning'' (yet) - but it is clearly a cruel, pathetic and need I say, CHILDISH thing to practice. It is also clearly unnatural.
Regarding those who have been shunned for years, I can see the pain doesn't go. I can't imagine never speaking to my own child, no matter WHAT. For the Shunner, as time goes, does it make it MORE difficult to make amends? After shunning someone you love for so long, would it be ''losing face'' to try while at the same time holding on to a cult?
I feel sad for you Crumpet. If you as a child are feeling this way, I can only imagine your mother is too. It's only natural.
