Great stuff Sadly their mentality allows them to dismiss anything published before the current WT publications. Just one question - you approached THEM? Do they not call on you..? Reason I ask is that they refuse to call on me anymore, despite me never requesting this. This past Easter weekend, I watched them in my street - they called next door, then walked AROUND my drive to the house other side of me, completely missing me out. This is the second time I've seen them do this. I must be on a 'list' which is attached to the territory map. I wonder why, lol.

I tried to talk to JW's today and they ran away.
by moshe ini spotted them out in fs on my block as i turned into my driveway, so i waited for them to come around to my side of the street.
they were in a huddle, 2 sisters and 2 brothers- the brothers had a young boy around 6 with them to get sympathy.
i had my 1924 wt book, the way to paradise, in hand and approached them.

Encounter with JW's take two...
by highdose inmy doorbell rang about 30mins ago, standing out side was a 30 somthing man and a very very young boy.
the young boy mumbled and stuttered and limply waved about a awake magazine at me.
i told him i wasn't interested because his religon had a bigger child abuse problem than the cathloic church, the difference is jw's cover it up better.

For what it's worth, I think you did a great job highdose...managing to get a lot across in a short space of time and gave them both something to think about. It's amazing how little these JWs know about their own religion...blinkered, brainwashed zombies.

New Light on Fat people
by RR inglutton...fails to show love for jehovah.
is food a big thing in his life?
if in the presence of others, does he selfishly ignore their needs and take more than his fair share?

BluesBrother - I have never heard of anyone being carpeted for it, though
Same here - weird isn't it...the amount of (very overweight) JWs who were permanantly on a 'diet', but couldn't resist cake, even though they tried soooo hard to resist (gluttony being a 'sin'). Yet having one cigarette - smoking not even mentioned in Bible - is a terrible 'actionable' sin. Silly.
I recall one Elder...and don't get me wrong, I don't judge anyone, ever...but he was obese, which is 'fine', but his suits were about two sizes too small so not a pleasant sight. If a 'sister' wore such ill fitting clothes (or indeed a non-elder brother) I'd imagine they'd have been counselled.

What Are Some Of The Dumbest Beliefs JW's Have?
by minimus ini know there are a lot.. one belief i never understood is that blood fractions might be ok for a christian but not "whole blood".
to me the "blood doctrine" is ridiculous from a scriptural point of view..

One new one is "a generation". Now, they are stringing generations end to end like I do with Christmas lights. At least the Christmas lights look pretty.
So funny Wizard ...the WT is not only content with changing the Bible and History to suit its doctrines...but is now changing the dictionary, lol.

because i have honestly seen a watchtower/awake magazine saying that its ok to be such things.
That anything published in WT literature carries more authority than the Bible does.

If I was a 'Demon' I don't think I'd check out the 'small ads' to sellotape/weld myself to second hand objects.

I was baptized when I was 17, not because I wanted to be, but because it was expected of me.
Bingo. I think that applies to a lot here. I too was 'Baptised' at 15...bullied/expected/emotionally blackmailed etc, not MY choice. 'Dubism' is about pleasing others and not ourselves! Welcome

Dub Neighbor

i haven't told her i was once braindead, too.

Furthermore, my two neighbors who helped her out have known her for years and before her "episode" have always referred to her as a sweet, kind old lady.
Ah...old school. For years she (and many like her) believe that the only 'good peeps' in this Wicked World are 'potential-dubs'..? OR is she 'angry' because Satan is very cunning (a Catholic in her midst on 'pretence' of doing good deeds)...

It never fails to amaze me that senior (in years) dubs have to rely on 'Worldlies' for any practical help. Are the dubs waiting for the 'New System' till they help each other to harvest/build/bury Worldlies and loot their homes..?
