Parent sleeping with teenagers
by Fatfreek inan ex brother and i were talking recently and he recounted a bizarre story.
he too left the witneys some years ago, got a divorce, and the two children (both boys) decided to stay with his wife since she was still a jw.. one of his boys (never baptized a jw) confided in him not long ago about the sleeping arrangements after he left.
she told the boys that she was feeling depressed and lonely because of the divorce and turmoil that their apostate father had caused her and asked them (ages 15 and 16) to each alternate and sleep with her every other night.. it took lots of courage for this son to talk to his father about it since he wanted it off his chest.

I asked him if he'd ever thought of any legal action or taking it to the authorities
HOW CAN HE? The boys are adults now, any legal action taken would have to be taken by THEM. Catalogue WHAT? HEARSAY? -

by Englishman in.

all were complaining about their teeth and how they were becoming very loose and how many had all ready lost several teeth by dint of them literally just becoming loose and then falling out.. englishman.

Well, my Nan NEVER smoked all her life, but when she died, age 102, she was completely toothless. Amazing.

...want to live a life outside of the Organization's constant control. Please do not judge our decision to establish this website or to sell our wares. We have decided that it is in our best interests to leave institutional living and to live on our own. We bear no ill will and have no hard feelings against the organization or any of our brothers....
Dazed - the implication is that they do live at Bethel. What is odd is that the literature they are 'selling' would not be approved by the Society. Also, they bear no hard feelings against an Organisation that has 'constantly controlled' them.

Another JW cong story... it's not adultery or fornication if...
by out of the box inthe quote below prompted me to post my stories.
the other being: experience being 'out of the loop' of helpful information from the cong.
http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/7/95518/1.ashxfrom dorayakii: to me, even from the outside, the society has always seemed legalistic and cold, eager to find faults, which is precisely the opposite to how jesus formed christianity.

Odd that 'nothing happened' from his perspective, but SHE got disfellowshipped for the same 'nothing happening'. It was obvious she was the guilty party, as she wasn't the image the WT likes to promote, ie ''NORMAL family''. Another case of, 'if your face fits'.

I've got this sort of psychic sixth sense when it comes to other posters. I'm sensing from your aura that your name's Dave, and that in the past you've been hurt in some way
I am REALLY impressed (and a tad envious of your obvious psychic ability) - how DO you DO that?

Birthdays?? Good explaination...please??
by inarock&ahardplace ini would love it if someone out there could clarify for my stubborn brain just why birthdays are forbidden??
for the life of me, and i was a witness for over 30 years, i still can't wrap my brain around that issue.
i need something more than the two accounts 'gone wrong' and pagen, in the bible.

Oh, and someone else will probably mention the customary beheadings that no birthday is complete without.

No idea - I always thought this to be lame. Personally, I was told that as Jesus's birth date is not recorded then birth dates are unimportant. After all - we do try to imitate Jesus

BUT, will it ever be able to take the place of 'Awake! ' surpassing its informative and educational content?
