Joe Namath did not win the Superbowl in 607BCE, and I can prove it.
by james_woods inperhaps some will be completely bewildered by this title.
perhaps many will say - are you crazy, james?
what does it matter?.

Hi Asherson!
Glad you finally decided to post! Lurkers are welcome here (hint, hint to all other lurkers)!! Sorry about your family. Most of us here feel your pain. But, you have a new family now. Complete with sibling squabbles, at times!! Look forward to getting to know you!

Hugs to you!! If you get a chance and want to talk, call me, if you still have me number. At least you were there to say good-bye, and make all those that were there for the same reason feel welcome!

Elders and Their Word.
by Blueblades inhave elders told you one thing then did something else other than what they said they would do for you?
let me give you an example.
when the elders in our former congregation were trying to get my son to come to an elder's meeting they called me and said they would do everything possible to aid and assist my son with some problems that he was having.

Remember the Charlie Brown cartoon? All I heard was when listening to the elder's was "blah, blah, blah".

"Giving Your Wifely Due"
by love2Bworldly indid anyone hate that expression as much as i did?
my husband and i are separated right now, and my jw sister reminded me on the phone the other day to make sure i gave him 'his wifely due'.
that expression makes me want to barf.

I've seen them use a diaper, unfortunately it was empty, to cover their head!!
Now back to the subject. My mom, after many years, refused to even sleep with my stepdad. I remember arguments over his "wifely due".
Reading this now it sounds so stupid!!
I needed this laugh today!
