I agree Midwich - I never heard of Shindler before the film either . . . and Pearl Harbour was just a little tiff in foreign lands until the film :-)

the best way to make the public aware of any issue is by educating them through entertainment.
i'd never even heard of schindler (shame on me) until the film was made - and that's what people want.

although we weren't that close, i'd worked on and off with him over the years.
i knew his wife too and would often see her around town.. he'd told me that when he had something to celebrate, like his birthday or maybe a commercial win, he and a pal of his would do the pubs and clubs first and then go kerb crawling until they found a pair of street girls who would play the swopsy's scene.

OK, so in order to believe this posting, we have to . .
(a) Believe there was a flood
(b) Believe there was a Noah
(c) Believe there are space aliens
... and then the Space Aliens predicted the flood, found Noah, and taught him how to build a submarine so that he could save the animals and preserve the human race.
Might have been easier for the Space Aliens to simply load it all on to their space craft and fly about a while till the puddles had dried, don't you think ?

Dreams Reveal Alot!
by anewme inmy dreams have always been pretty transparent.
most of my dreams in my lifetime have been awful scary ones of being chased in the night and jumping over backyard fences and then flying off to safety.
my childhood was awful and scary and lonely.

As God Is My Witness....

is there therefore any reason why god could not be the default second witness in the case of an abuse claim within the jw community?.
for this to stand up in an enquiry, the second witness (jehovah) would have to give evidence.

As the FDS are supposed to abide by the commandment "not to bear false witness" I suppose that they would HAVE to say that God hadn't confided in them to the point of being able to refute or back up the claim of abuse. But then again - a normal dub (the abused one) would not either . . and God certianly wouldn't (as He set the rules in the first place)
The point - as you say, Midwich - is that the FDS and indeed the Org would be on a sticky wicket if God was cited as the second witness.
