  How Did Your JW Wife or Husband Leave You?

  inspiried by other post and threads....and the love to type.. after going from being a self rightious pioneer and bethelite, to someone who had major doubts.my years drifted by me.

  This part made me cry.........

  As for myself,

  My JW husband, didn't leave me on purpose or to prove a point. He passed away 10 years ago. I was baptised 1 year when we met and we were married 13 years. He whole heartedly believed. I didn't, but I stayed for him, numbing my mind to it all and playing by all the rules...wondering what was wrong with me the whole time..... (just like they want us to think).

  After he left, so to speak..... I was out of there....

  Happy easter, long weekend, chocolate egg time...whatever

  hi hope you all have a fantastic long weekend.

  well it's a long weekend here is s.a. (friday and monday) happy times.

  i don't really celebrate easter but will definately be getting some chocolate eggs and having a family lunch on sunday.. i've been outta action this week with a pinched nerve - i wouldn't wish it upon my enemy.. here's to good times!!!!!!!!!!.

  i love him so much it aches.

  he has saved me from disaster .

  Oh Yeah, I'm just a "Wealth" of information...

  I may not be needed on the board, but it is a life saver for me.

  I agree with "Mouthy" above...........I read so much more than post, (working on that)...but, the things I have read over the years have helped me very much. If nothing else, just to know that I'm not alone in all this.

  Why not use mass-media...?

  as a witness i had always wondered why the society did not use modern mass-media such as television broadcast, etc.

  to communicate its "life saving message" to the masses.

  afterall isn't preaching the most important work for a jw?

  If this was all true, then the bloodguilt would be on the hands of the WTS, since by using ineffective means, they are slowing the preaching work significantly.

  What's the lowest meeting attendance you've ever seen?

  i'm talking about congos with at least 40-50 publishers in the file.

  we had a nearby congo that supposedly had 60-65 publishers and their attendance on one tms/sm night hit an all-time low of 14. they had a ton of elderly/infirm.

  they finally merged and now everybody's happy about the "increase".

  We also had the BS in our home, I remember a couple times is would just be us and another family of 3. Making a total of 7.

  The only low attendance at the Hall that I can remember was a Sunday Meeting... we normally had around 75 - 80, that one time we had 25... but, the weather was really bad, snow and sleet. The PO called us Die Hards, as if the others were to be looked down upon, since they hadn't made it in...... Even the speaker didn't show up, the meeting went on tho...with the PO improvising.

  after several years 'out' i can't be the only one who still gets a bit pissed off to hear 'oh so clever' apostates slagging off jw's for being dumb, stupid and worse.

  grow up!

  the beliefs of jehovah's witnesses are certainly stupid but then i'd say the same for all christian belief just as many of you might condemn my atheistic, evolutionary postion as being nonsense.

  As for myself...

  I was 28 when I became a witness... I certainly don't feel I was "Stupid"....They studied with me for 2 years before I got baptized, mainly because I asked so many questions. I really don't think I would have EVER became one if my circumstances hadn't changed.

  They got to me emotionally, after my first husband died, with the resurrection hope, which sounded great, considering the circumstances.

  After that I stayed for the "Social Aspect of it", 2 years later I married an MS...it was for him, and him alone, that I stayed as long as I did. After he died... I was "Out of There".

  I look back now and wonder why I allowed myself to fall for it... sometimes they just get to you at a bad time in your life, when you're not quite thinking straight. That doesn't mean you are or were stupid.
