personally, i stayed at home (my wife went), made steaks, drank beer, and watched several vulgar/demonic movies in the world of the jw's (halloween, the eye, hitman, no country for old men, saw iv).
i later went over to my mother in laws house to meet up with some other in laws - who i saved from the jw's - and talked about how the memorial was a waste of f@cking time... then drank more beer waiting for my wife to come back...
Hubby and I went shopping, came home a watched a movie........Aaaaahhhhh....Freedom.

hi fellow jwders:.
i've just returned from playing piano duets with one of the community's .
premier accompanists.
I know of two couples in their 80's still going strong. They have more energy than I do it seems.
I was always amazed by my Hubby's Mother. At 86 she was still driving, going to Church and doing any thing she could find to keep busy... She had an active social life. I admired her.
She fell and broke her hip, & was never the same after surgery... finally passed away 3 years ago.
I always said I wanted to be just like her at her age...

so i'm in the process of ditching my jw friends and one of them tells me that i'm starting to sound like an apostate why??
because i'm going to yet another congregation and she feels that i should stay in one cogo to get established.
first of all i'm about to go into a foreign language congo wherein i speak half the language and want to be fluent in that language, but my real reason is....i don't want friends and family finding out about my fade so they won't start calling me and bugging me.
You certainly know how to stand your ground...!!!
Congrats.
Cas
hey everyone, get this.
i don't know if they know or not but another member (jesus freak) uses the same library that i do!
how i found it out.
That is so Cool. I would love to run into a situation like that.
Our town is so small tho, chances are I would know them personally.

Look forward to hearing more about you,

i did not mind occasionally useing my vehicle out in service but the elder who did the morning text use to volunteer my car all the time.my pet peeves were:.
1. people walking through mud, grass clippings(rural territory) and just hoping back into the car.
mudd all over carpet.
That was very considerate and understanding of you, Lancelink

Megaflower,
This is one of my biggest pet peeves...
I drove all the time it seemed... I also had all the same problems mentioned above.
The one that bothered me the most was the feeding of children in the car. The spilled drinks, chip & crackers crumbs, even sticky suckers on the seats, was insane. No one seemed to notice. The Elders Never put the children in their car groups.
Then they would give talks on keeping your vehicle clean for service... I thought, "Yeah right. "
One picky Sister bought an S-10 pick-up truck...(she was a rebel).... she "never" allowed children in her truck...

god may want to talk to you and ring your phone to answer your questions.
can he talk to more than one person at a time?
he can kill more than one at a time anyway.. ken p..
I would turn mine off.
"IF" I'm going to Church... I certainly don't want to be bothered by the outside world.
I would be going to get away from it all...

as many of you know , me and my fading 23 year old son have been trying to reach out to my polite 21 year old jw daughter .
sending cards, letters , phone calls just to let her know we love her, miss her , and remind her of good family times we've had in the past !
not being pushy - just being authentic with her !
So Happy for you, Mr. Flipper.
I know you have wanted this for a long time. As my brother always tells me... "Patience, Patience"... he is always right...
As was said above, One step at a time...
(((((Hugs))))
