  the three greatest teachings of jesus.

  are all cancelled out by the practices and teaching of the fds.

  jesus gave three outstanding examples of what it is to be a follower of his and the actions and mindset that you should have, all three of these teachings or example's are diminished by the practices of jw's.

  The Day you Knew.....Armaggeddon was Here!

  i`m a dubkid,i was raised in a crazy cult,the jehovah`s witness`s........death and destruction were constant topics of the day.........................you heard it every day,then you went to meetings and heard more of the same thing..........................one of my first children`s books was "paradise lost to paradise regained"..mom wanted me to have a nice big book,with lots of pictures of death and destruction!...............................i feared armageddon everyday............when i was about 7 or 8,i remember walking home from school..and....we had a huge thunder storm!..sheets of rain!..lightning bolts lite up the sky!..and..the thunder was deafining!................i was frigg`n scared!..armageddon was here!

  don't remember the exact year, '86 I think, but it was declared the "Year of Peace". I remember having the point drilled in my head "Peace and Security, then sudden destruction."

  I remember that too, I had only been Baptized for 2 years, it scared me to death....

  pioneers) have all the little wt extras, such as the wt year agenda, the wt removable book covers, bible with their name printed on the leather cover, the rv book with the little tower logo on it, "pens from patterson" etc.

  I had some of the extras. I wanted people to envy me. I wanted them to think I was more holy than they were

  I certainly never had them to promote... "Envy".

  Most of those things were bought as gifts for each other....

  Seemed most in our congregation did tho....had no idea it offended some....

  as a JW, what did you think people did on the 4th?

  Being a convert at age 28, I knew what worldly people did on the 4th...

  As a witness, we would usually cook out, and watch the neighbors doing their thing.... seems from above posts, alot of JWs did that.
