  Survival of Human Consciousness Beyond Death

  to anyone's knowledge, has there been any scientific research into the question of whether human consciousness can survive beyond death?

  i am referring to research studies conducted by neurologists, neuro-biologists, and neuro-physiologists.

  as far as i know, reputable scientific studies feature such factors as control groups.

  I have no idea... but, you've certainly got my attention.

  ask these questions because I have had experiences that I wish I had not had. I have seen things that do not fit into my rationlist world-view. One alternative is that I was hallucinating. Another is that I saw an illusion - a "trick" of light and shaow. A third is that I witnessed some survival of human consciousness beyond death. The truth is that I really don't know what I saw.

  I've always just done what I wanted, and dealt with the fallout after. I want my kids to feel "normal", I don't want them to feel they are missing out on something. I also don't want to feel like I'm being held hostage by a religion that I no longer believe in. Why am I making such a big deal out of this one last thing?

  Maybe it's the final act, for you, of letting go...

  Once you jump over the hurdle.... it can be very liberating.........

  Funny/strange things you ate as a kid.

  ok i'll start.. 13 y/o or so.. once it rained for a month straight.

  we had an old dry tank dump in the back that filled up with water.

  there were tons of frogs that showed up and started breeding.. i was looking at them on the edge of the water through my .22 scope.

  When I was little...my Mom would fry up squirrels, including the head.

  When it cooled I would put the head in my hand and hit it with the back of a spoon and then eat the brains.... it looked and tasted like bland mashed potatoes.

  GOOD LORD... just the thought of that, makes me sick now.....

  carmel, likes popcorn, green olives and blueberry waffles.. snickers, likes watermelon, cantaloupe and hawaiian bread.. what does your cat eat?

  My cat is a million years old and still going strong, she goes crazy over Doritos, potato chips and donuts.

  One screams a meow whenever anyone walks by her food bowl, even if it's totally full.

  So does mine........ WTH...??
