whilst befriending the jw family who introduced me to all this, they told me about the blood transfusion issues which i knew already, however i am very partial to consuming black pudding (blood sausage to americans) with my breakfast, although i have not had any since my outlook altered i was just wondering if it is ethical to consume such a culinary delight without any implications.

that would exclude letting the blood run into a bucket and then allowing the contents of the bucket to congeal and be fried for breakfast

Why not use mass-media...?

as a witness i had always wondered why the society did not use modern mass-media such as television broadcast, etc.

to communicate its "life saving message" to the masses.

afterall isn't preaching the most important work for a jw?

The fact that they continue to use the most ineffective means of reaching people proves it.

I've wondered the same thing myself, over the years. Shouldn't they be doing everything in their power to get the message out to the public. Since, of coarse... the "End" is so close.

The religion could not handle the scrutiny that going main stream would cause

I think HL hit the nail on the head, they don't want to be looked at too closely.

so early this morning i had been working all night .

just got done eating mickeyd's in my truck , getting ready to take a nap before driving , and this jw young lady in her early 20's knocks on my closed window !

i put the window down and while forcibly handing the watchtower to me just says, " here is the watchtower !

I'm gonna educate her and make her really EARN her time ! " LOL!

And that you did, Mr Flipper...

I am sure you gave her something to think about. I am surprised she stayed involved in the conversation as long as she did... most cut and run. So, just maybe you touched on something she had thought of or seen, herself and she wanted to hear more.

On Saturday... I decided to dump all my literature

it felt good!

i took that huge plastic bin that contained multiple copies of all the books given out by the society, all the old wt and awake's that i had, the year books, etc..... and threw into the city dump.

my boyfriend thought i should maybe bring the literature back to them and i said "hell no.... so they can give it out to more innocent people.. he agreed.

Help Me Please !!!!!!!!

i need some support and advice with my situation and hope you don't mind me going on a bit because i feel wretched!

i hurt so much with my jw family relationship and find it so frustrating that whatever i do or say doesn't make any difference.. my son and wife had a little girl 9 months ago, my first and only grand child and i love her so much.

when she was born my hubby and i helped them a lot wiith buying all the expensive things she needed, as my son hadn't a well paying job as being a die hard jw he believes in the "education and career isn't what you should be doing propaganda" put out buy the wt.

My Heart goes out to you.... what a terrible way for a new Grandmother to be treated...I have two grand children and couldn't handle being put off like that.

You may also want to just stop by. Don't call, just say you were in the neighborhood. Eventually, though, I would flat out ask them - face to face - why

i'm sure that the topic of armageddon has risen it's ugly head before but can anyone out there tell me when the armaggedon will happen (try to be precise please otherwise to me as a non-believer it will look like you're guessing) and has anyone got any concrete evidence of why and how it will happen?

oh and can you give evidence about when it will happen?
