  JUST SOMETHING I would like to know

  1) how many of the gb's (and other higher-ups in the org) children, grandchildren, great-children went to college, which universities they attended, and what were their majors and other studies?.

  2) how many of the gbs and/or their children and grandchildren (some are old enough to have grown grandchildren, i'm sure) are major stockholders or serve.

  on the board of directors for corporations that have some association with the jws.. 3) how many of the gbs and/or members of their families own companies that service the needs of the watchtower society?.

  i finally told another jw about how i am feeling.

  exactly how i am feeling.

  she is the only jw i know that wont rat me out and she isnt active herself.

  You are right. It *is* a big deal to finally speak what you really think to another JW.

  I envy this....as I have never been in a situation where I could, other than here on JWD. I think it would be great to have that one on one conversation.

  simple question about popularity

  hi everyone, this is only my second post under this name but i'm not actually new, just couldnt remember my password under my other name as havnt been on the board for a very long time, hey i've even had a bible study in the time i've been away.. anyway, my question is, do you think their is a pecking order within the congregation,not so much overseer, elder, common publisher etc, more as in, one particular family being popular, everyone sucking up to them, them looking down their noses at the meer mortals who perhaps cant afford to pioneer or live in a palace, etc etc..

  Oh Good Lord, yes. At one point there was an ongoing argument between the two major families in my old hall...

  If you agreed with family one you sat on the left, if you agreed with family two you sat on the right... It was a nightmare. Until of course a CO came along and "fixed" it all...........lololol.

  From my experience in the USA there were huge divides between rich/poor and black/white and pioneer/publisher.

  This kind of thing went on all the time.

  Going to Ohio tomorrow 3/28

  i will be leaving for dayton ohio in the morning, and will be away from the board for the next 8 days.

  i will check my messages when i get back.

  my first official vacation of 2008 and i don't even have to use vacation time, just using my saved holidays.

  i want a visit, from as many as possible..come in twos& threes, i would love to see you all again.

  i thought this might be a good way to help many of us to see the absurdity of some of the wts/jw rules "principles" .

  women can't wear pants to meetings or service or i've heard even to go clean the hall.. what scriptures would the elders use to get a jw to conform.

  you don't need to quote whatt he scripture and i certainly have no desire to do that but if you have the quotes handy feel free to post them.. the rule principle.

  down south here, the ladies do get to wear jeans to clean the hall, and work outside it.........oompa

  We were also allowed to wear jeans when cleaning the hall, of coarse that was 10 years ago.

  There is no way I would volunteer to scrub toilets in a dress.

  Hummingbirds are back

  That is so "Awesome"...!!!

  The last time I remember seeing a hummingbird was when I was little in my grandmother's flower bed. That was many, many years ago..

  yuuummm, they all sound good,

  Mine is :

  Spaghetti & meat balls, with a really good tomato sauce, topped with feta. Garlic bread, and a salad with romain lettuce, red onion & tomatoes with ranch dressing.

  If I'm "Really" hungry...

  then it's sirloin steak, med. well... baked potato and salad.
