i am just curious how much looks and superficial things plays a part in your decisions in life.
i work with a young lady, she could be my daughter, well if i was young and out there early, and she's fresh out of college, from a sorority and let's everyone know this.
anyway, she will only talk with, be friendly with the very good looking people in the office.
I would have to say "Looks" are relatively important to me....
There is a certain look that I am attracted to, such as a full head of hair, bedroom eyes, a nicely trimmed goatee and a beautiful smile. He also has to be strong, dependable, have a good sense of humor & be a little on the wild side...
I am a very touchy freely type of person, holding hands, quick kisses in public, etc... so he also has to be very Loving and affectionate.
Fortunately, my Hubby fits all of that for me....

i have become a desperate, needy, clingy burden on my friends, so depressed i don't know what to do.
every day i say, pull up your socks, put one foot in front of the other.

I too can empathize... I have been to the bottom of the well many times. I would keep telling myself to hang on, it will pass.
Fortunately it would, not perfect, but better.
It helps to talk that's for sure........maybe you need to let it out. So many here are willing to listen and help where they can..

although my "family" nows that i am no longer a witness and celebrates holidays, they still have "hope" for me.

I never really met anyone totally "Famous" per say....
I shook hands with the former Rep. of Indiana, Lee Hamilton.
We did have a Parade in town one time that included Cloris Leachman, (they were filming a movie locally). She was on one of the floats.
John Mellencamp was in a hospital filming a movie scene, the day my niece was born... didn't see him, but rode the elevator with one of the cast.
The closest one I guess, would be "Tony Stewart" of NASCAR fame... he came to our local dirt track and raced against my Brother. They beat and banged on each other the entire race... had a few words afterwards... lol.

Wallet and Keys, paper, pen...make-up, tissues. Cell phone, Tylenol,... etc. Oh, and a book for those waiting moments.
I like Kathy Van Zeeland bags, she has some really nice roomy ones... that way I can carry my stuff and Hubby's too, when out and about..

i have begun to live it - instead of waiting on the 'real life' we had been promised as jw's.
it started 4 years ago - but it moved slowly past the weeks and months of 'research', trying to find where i fit, then into an understanding that i didn't - at least not conventionally, fit anywhere, religiously speaking.
Suddenly I find myself happy to just LIVE without the constant constraint of labels.
Good for you and your family... I too feel the same way......no longer striving to be something I was never meant to be.
