National service would teach them some discipline aswell as respect, it would teach them to be a lot more civilised and show them there is more to life than sleeping all day and getting stoned, straighten the little toe rags out.

Do you still use Jehovah's name in prayer assuming you still pray?
by JH in.
if you do pray, will you use the name that's above all other names....says the watchtower.. if not, what name do you use?.

When i was a little kid i used to sometimes say 2 prayers before bed, one to Jehovah and one to another god, just incase Jehovah wasn't the real god.
Now I very rarely pray but if I do then I still use Jehovah's name.

The dress code for chavs usually goes something along the lines of Rockport boots with white trainer socks, with Adidas trackie bottoms tucked in, the top can vary but is often Helly Hanson, Adidas or Rockport and ofcorse the compulsary fake Burberry baseball cap.
It also helps to have a few chipped or missing teeth.

Do you mean something along the lines of, the first time someone turns up at the job centre wanting to sign on they are made to enrol for 2 years national service?
That would be a good idea, it would certainly help put an end to chav culture.
What about for young offenders?

Just for Es....
by wanderlustguy ines needs a thread...i've noticed she's been in the dumps and seems to think no one really notices.
well, time for that crap to stop.. you need to know you make a difference, just by putting in your two cents on any given subject here you make me crack a little grin, and i know i''m not the only one.
to say no one really notices is to berate the contribution you make as well as so many others.

Es, I've never actually introduced myself to you but I have read and enjoyed a lot of your posts and I'm sure there are many who feel the same.
Hope you feel better soon.

annoying the JWs
by Ellie in.
yesterday i saw a couple of witnesses from my local kingdom hall offering out tracts right outside of a church, i knew i had to walk passed them and i didn't want to give them the satisfaction of ignoring me, so just to spite/shock them i walked straight into the church, stayed there for a few minutes then walked back out again.. has anyone ever done anything ridiculous or childish just to annoy them?

Growing up as a young witness kid I had very few friends, I was very shy, a bit of a geek and didn't fit in as I was the one who didn't do birthdays and couldn't watch the same TV as everyone else and couldn't go to the Friday night disco etc etc.
So, I'm a bit of a late developer when it comes to relationships which has made me really treasure my friends.
I've had a few friendships turn sour over the years and often this has been of my own doing (I put this down to my inexperience and late development of social skills) but now I realise that being a good friend means accepting people for who they are and being forgiving of their mistakes.
