Iam back....
by diamondblue1974 injust to let you know that i am now back posting after some extended time away...i also wanted to thank you for all your kind comments and best wishes regarding my marriage, it was quite touching for both elaine and i to know so many people who we havent had the opportunity of meeting yet cared enough to post their comments.. the wedding day went brilliantly with all family members behaving themselves including my mother (a devout jw still) who attended even though she was in a room full of people who were either disassociated or disfellowshipped.
she left rather early but she still made it and it made my day.
the weather initially left a lot to be desired but the sun shone for photographs which we will be collected this week.. there however was a hiccup....when the registrar or whoever it was who led the ceremony asked if anyone knew of any lawful impediment or reason as to why we couldnt get married... someone dared to respond!!!!.

A question regarding idol worship
by stevenyc inwould it be appropriate to adorn buildings and homes of jehovah's witnesses with watchtower symbols?
for example, put gold castle emblems over the entrence to my home.
would this be frowned apon as a form of idol worship?

How do you imagine the world 10 years from now?
by JH ini think that 10 years from here, we still won't be in the jw new system.
i also think that gas will cost 4 times what we pay now.. many more natural disasters will happen, like the tsunami and hurricane in new orleans.. there will be a financial crash .
living conditions will be harder, less clean water, more pollution.

I imagine it will be pretty much the same, except the JWs will be moaning about how much worse men have become in the last ten years, how back in 2005 they couldn't imagine the system getting any worse but now in 2015 it is so much worse, proving that we are right at the time of the end.

Would you bend over to pick up a penny on the ground? Or maybe a nickel?
by JH inyesterday evening i was taking a long walk, and then i saw a nickel (5 cents) on the sidewalk, so i didn't even bother to pick it up.
then walking away i was surprised that i didnt even pick it up.
i know that i would never pick up a penny, but a nickel, usually i do pick that up.

Guy at Mcdonalds I wanted to punch
by professor inyeah, so yesterday i'm at mcdonald's with my kids.
this guy walks in all full of dried paint on his hair and clothes.
he sits down with his food, and then starts preaching out loud to the entire restaurant about how the hurricane is god's way of punnishing the whores and the homos who are now paying the price for their sins.. .

Vaginal Birth or Cesarean Section
by Dimples into all the mommy's out there...did you deliver vaginally or by c-section?.
i was fortunate enough to deliver both my children vaginally although i came close to a c-section with my son.
he was in the posterier position.

Both my babies were born naturally.
My first was 7lb 14oz, the labour was about 6 hours long and no pain relief at all and no stitches.
The second was 8lb 10 oz, the labour was only 3 hours long and I'd say only painful for about an hour, again no pain relief or stitches, which I'm really proud of as I'm normally such a wuss.
