Well this isn't really to do with xmas but the same sort of thing.
Last year, on my daughters second birthday, my jw mum didnt send a card or present, but phoned up and sang happy birthday down the phone.

i don't know how to answer other than , 'i guess they pick and choose what's ok'.

Are you done your Christmas shopping yet?

officially done at 12:49 am saturday hahah...now i have to do all the wrapping though!
we had such well laid plans...but my husband and i both were thwarted by the flu this week....eeek.

I started my xmas shopping back in October, getting a couple of gifts each week (I don't have many people to buy for, just my partner, kids and a couple of friends) and I finished it today, there is a mountain of presents under the tree and we have hidden my 3 year old daughters scooter behind the curtain for her to find once she finished unwrapping her other presents.
Its so exciteing, I can definately see why they say it is better to give than recieve.

Ive just finished wrapping the last of the presents and started a trifle for pudding tomorrow, then I tried mulled wine which is so disgusting, so I'm sitting at my pc with a glass of Baileys and some snacks.

This happened a couple of years ago to me.
My neices husband came over to pick up a baby walker from me, I was really busy so didn't invite him in, but I felt a bit rude so I apologised to my neice the next time I saw her, she told me not to worry, that he wouldn't have come in anyway as I was alone and things might happen.
I was quite shocked.

just wrapped my first christmas gift...

the only thing that sucked about it was the fact that i had no idea how to wrap a gift... late 20's and i've never wrapped a present before????

Help me get in the mood!
by Crumpet inearlier today i posted a rather scroogish reply to a sweet post from rebel8.. christmas is just a week away.
i've decorated the house singlehandly - wrapped millions of presents, put the tree up, faithfully pegged the cards up on a silver thread extending over the dining room and am about to commence a frenzy of cleaning so that i dont look too slovenly when the in laws arrive.
i've even played a bit of bing crosby earlier.. so tell me whats good about christmas and how to get in the spirit?
