Top 10 reasons Not to Shut the Door on a JW---Suggestions, please?
by Curious Christian inif you had to come up with 10 good reasons for people to learn how to effectively speak to jws, what would they be and how would you suggest they do so?
what is the most common misconception people have about jws?.
what is the most common misconception that jws have about christians?
-
Ellie
I think the most commen misconception JWs have about christians is that they believe other christians don't know their bible and don't try to live good lives, they seem to assume that people who call themselves christian maybe go to church once a year and live immoral lives.

Do you feel you have more friends now that you left?
by ButtLight inits funny to me... i was just talking to someone i consider my friend.
she doesnt come on here, but she left the "truth".
i now have gotten to know her and her husband, along with their son and his wife.

I don't have as many friends now, mainly because its difficult to meet people.
As a witness I thought I had a lot of friends but they were realy just fakes , people who tolerated me because I agreed with them on religion.
Now I have few friends and a lot of aquaintances but atleast I know that the few friends I do have are real and not going to ditch me as soon as we disagree on something.

If hes 28 and still not babtised I don't think you have much to worry about.
It sounds very romantic and he sounds very sweet.
I hope it works out for you, you'll just have to be a bit more persuasive about the holiday thing.

by prophecor ini prefer showers.
it's quick.
convienient, i can brush my teeth, shave and host of various other things that you just can't get done in the tub.

I usually shower every morning and occasionally, if I've had a rough day, take a bath in the evening just to relax, but I actually had a bath this morning, just fancied a change.

Another Watchtower Christmas Lie
by gumby inwe all remember one of the arguments the society used to make christmas look bad.. they said christendom at this time of the year, see's jesus as a little baby in a manger (nativity scene), rather than the king in heaven he now is.
that's a lie.. ask any christian on this planet if they think jesus at this time is a little baby in a manger.
if he was, then mary is back on earth taking care of him and herod is out looking to kill him.
-
Ellie
Yeah, they make out its so wrong to think of him as he was as a baby, like thats disrespectful or something, well, if thats the case then I would think it would be disrespectful to think of him as a man at all, we should just concentrate on him being a king in heaven.

What's stopping you?
I had a few lessons when I was 17 but then I left home and couldn't afford to buy a car so I thought that it was a waste of money continueing my lessons, and now I just have never gotten round to it.
I do have a new provisional liscense though and I'm going to start taking lessons soon.
