Who do you love more?

my uncle ocasionally complains about how my aunt loves her adult children more than him because she's always thinking about them, worrying about them and reaching out to them.

i think that's a surprising viewpoint because i thought that most mothers (and many fathers) love their children above all others.. do you think that's true?

should a parent love their children more than the spouse (or significant other)?

Its not a very nice question, it makes me feel slightly nasty, but yes, kids come first.

Oh, thats a nice, romantic story, a pity you didn't get together sooner but better late than never eh.
Atleast you can look forward to a happy future together without worrying about marrying to please others.

far away in the tropical waters of the caribbean, two prawns were.

swimming around in the sea - one called justin and the other called christian.. .

the prawns were constantly being harassed and threatened by sharks that inhabited the area.

swimming around in the sea - one called Justin and the other called Christian.

Finally one day Justin said to Christian, "I'm fed up with being a prawn, I wish I was a shark, then
I wouldn't have any worries about being eaten."

A large mysterious cod appeared and said, "Your wish is granted" and Lo and behold, Justin turned into a shark.

Horrified, Christian immediately swam away, afraid of being eaten by his old mate.
Time passed (as it invariably does) and Justin found life as a shark boring and lonely.
All his old mates simply swam away whenever he came close to them.
Justin didn't realise that his new menacing appearance was the cause of his sad plight.

While swimming alone one day he saw the mysterious cod again and he thought
perhaps the mysterious fish could change him back into a prawn.

He approached the cod and begged to be changed back, and, lo and
behold, he found himself turned back into a prawn.

With tears of joy in his tiny little eyes Justin swam back to his friends and bought them all a cocktail.
Looking around the gathering at the reef he realised he couldn't see his old pal.
"Where's Christian?" he asked.
"He's at home, still distraught that his best friend changed sides to the enemy & became a
shark", came the reply.

Eager to put things right again and end the mutual pain and torture, he set off to Christian's abode.
As he opened the coral gate memories came flooding back.
He banged on the door and shouted, "It's me, Justin, your old friend, come out and see me again."

Christian replied, "No way man, you'll eat me. You're now a shark, the enemy, and I'll not be tricked into being your dinner."

Justin cried back "No, I'm not. That was the old me. I've changed."......"I've found Cod. I'm a Prawn again, Christian".

And I go to bed with my 3 year old because she won't sleep alone, and my partner goes to bed with a couple of extra pillows.

Thats a good point Dr. Jekyll, but I consider my partner to be the biggest child in my house and I like to be able to go out shopping without him telling me how much money I can spend, and I like to cook what I like instead of compromising, and I like to use the internet whenever I please without him moaning that he needs it, etc etc.

Rude Behavior In The Office

hey everyone,.

so there is this girl at our office who has her share of personality flaws.

people joke around with her about them and she is a good sport about it.

Recently, my daughter was taken to hospital for dehydration caused by a stomach bug, the doctor told me you can't ever wash your hands enough, told me I should be washing them every 30 minutes or so even if I don't think they are dirty and useing antibacterial hand gel.
Maybe you could point this out to your co workers.
