I'm really sorry to hear that, the most important thing definately is that your baby is healthy and after so many scans I guess you can be sure it is.
I only ask because with my first baby they couldn't tell the sex but I had such a strong feeling that it was a boy that we painted the nursery blue, but she turned out to be a girl, we didn't mind though, she was healthy and beautiful.
I'm pregnant now and we've found out its a girl again.

Are you not even a little bit impatient to find out?

Is it time to demollish the welfare state in the UK
by Gill init's an unfortunate fact that the uk is gradually slip sliding away in the ranks of great achieving countries.. our tennis players aspire to greatness but slip at the last, and often first hurdle.
our national health service though catering to all, is no where near the quality it should be.
i can vouch for that fact from last weekends experience, having to call an emergency doctor out to see my son, he missed totally what was wrong with him.

Up until a couple of weeks ago I was claiming benefits and had been doing so since Novemeber last year (first Income Support and then JSA) and they really helped out, although it would have been really difficult to manage on the measly amount had it not been for the fact of having savings and a more than generous mother in law.
However, it still makes me really angry when you see people who have no intentions of working, who get every benefit and crisis/budgeting loan there is.
I have a family member who has not worked since her 7 year old son was born, she claims she doesn't know who the father is (although he secretly shares the council house with her), he works and gets cash in hand while still claiming JSA as a single man, and to top it all off had his driving lessons and test paid for by the benefit agency as he told them he was interested in a job as a driver, needless to say he never took the job.
Also, while her son was under 5 and qualified for milk tokens, she used to use them to buy fags with.
Twice someone has reported her for benefit fraud but nothing has ever come of it.
And one thing that has made me really angry recently is that she is now pregnant and expects me to give her all my baby equipment when I've finished with it, even though she will qualify for a £500 maternity grant to buy baby equipment with.
Sorry, just thought this was an appropriate place to have a rant.

Yeah I agree, you should stand up for yourself, let him know that you don't class him as perfect either.
I wouldn't cut him off completely though, let him know you will be there for him if and when he gets over his issues.

Apostasy - A Racist Movement?
by slimboyfat infirpo carr argues that while many white apostates claim to highlight so-called 'racist' remarks and terminology in the watchtower literature, most such apostates are in fact white and have little real interest in black issues.
they are only interested in the issue in so far as they can use it to promote white anti-witness propaganda, whereas a high percentage of loyal witnesses are black.
i know that all the terms of my topic are debatable: apostacy is a witness term of derogation; apostates probably are mostly liberal and not racist (essentially); and they are not a 'movement' in any case.

I probably shouldn't say this as its highly controversial so I will just stress first of all that I am not in the remotest bit racist, I would never judge anyone on the colour of their skin.
However, it does seem to me that it doesn't matter what you do in life or what your opinions are, you are always going to be called racist at one point or another, both white and black are very quick at pointing the finger.

A big problem for JW's in the UK?
by Jim Dee infrom the sky news web site - 23.06.05giving the cold shoulderdoorstep salesmen who cold-call are to be targeted with the launch of a new scheme banning them from certain areas.
residents who feel harassed by their tactics will work with police to create no-entry zones for them under a plan by the trading standards institute.. .
the no-go zones could cover anything from a street to an entire estate and will also help combat so-called "distraction burglaries", which have been linked to cold-calling.. persistent doorstep sellers would then be reported to the authorities for follow-up action.. ron gainsford, chief executive of the institute, said: "people are sick and tired of uninvited doorstep callers.

They have already tried a similar scheme to this in Spain, where even some towns as a whole have a law against cold calling, but it didn't work, I was a sales person over there and never took the slightest bit of notice of the law and I was never arrested or anything.
