Defd, I find in most homes, be them Jehovahs Witness or not, there are no pagan crosses or ash trays to be seen.

Execution in United States Are You For It?
by jayhawk1 infrom the ap.... raleigh, n.c. - a man who killed his wife and father-in-law pinned his hopes on last-minute intervention from the governor or the courts as he awaited lethal injection early friday in the nation's 1,000th execution since capital punishment resumed in 1977. kenneth lee boyd, set to die at 2 a.m., spent the day receiving visitors, including two sons who watched him gun down their mother and grandfather in 1988. .
my questions are; are you for or against the death penalty?
what was your opinion of the death penalty as a jehovah's witness?.

I'm not in favour for a number of reasons.
1. There will always be someone who investigates the matters years later and 'discovers' some doubt.
2. It'll give the liberals something else to get upset about.
3. It won't save as much money as some may think, given the endless appeals etc.
4. Why make a 'martyr' out of a scumbag?
5. It's an admission that we've lost control.
I am in favour of 'natural life' sentences though. -

Hi, I'm very new!!!
by Rebekah ini've just found this site this evening.
i've been off work with a bad cold since tuesday and there was a knock on the door this afternoon.
i don't usually answer the door to strangers but on this occasion i did as i could see 2 elderly gentlemen.

I think you can play chess, I know my brother has a chess set and hes a witness.
Rebekah, what I'd say to you is if you do decide to talk with the witnesses and it is your decision, then just make sure you do your own research and don't take anything they say as true unless you can prove that it is from other sources.

Is there any hope of you coming back to Jehovah?
by LeftBehind inmy brother is a self proclaimed apostate.
i see now that there is a wide variety of posters here.
so to those that have left the witnesses what would it take to get you back?
-
Ellie
I can't return to an organisation where its members think it is ok to shun people who they think are spiritually weak or wrongdoers, surely given they are supposed to be imitators of Jehovah, surely they should show love and compassion.

This is something I would like to do, if I won millions on the lottery I would love to leave things of a small but significant value lyeing around the place to see if anyone handed them in, if they did I would like to find out where they live and then on xmas eve post an envelope through their door with a large amount of money inside and a note, that'd be pretty cool.

You are actually right there, to some extent anyway, TVP, Greater Manchester and North Wales all have quotas for their traffic cops, if they don't make 8 arrests a month then they get investigated, it is a little harsh and I don't really agree with it, but hey, ifyou don't break the law then you have nothing to worry about.
