Someone stole my mom's wallet AT THE KINGDOM HALL, when she got up to use the bathroom. It was some low life "sister" and she was disfellowshipped shortly after that. But not before she ran up my mom's credit cards.
Was she disfellowshipped for stealing the credit cards, or not donating the money to society?

I've always thought about that too. I used to hear things like "you know the paradise is going to be here before you turn 16" and then i'd be like "I better get laid soon or i'll be a virgin for an eternity "
I personally know an elder who was in prison for over a decade for manslaughter.
He's killed several people in his lifetime (i'm thinking 3 or 4, i'll ask him tonight) and used to be the equivalent of a drug "kingpin".
He found the "truth" while he was in jail. After leaving, he became a ministerial servant soon after baptism and became an elder recently.
He has a temper, cusses alot, and tends to be selfish, tactless and unreasonable, but once you get to know him he's an overall cool person and i'll really miss him once i fade.

I have a couple from the same elder
1) He believes (and vehemently defends) the idea that people wont have genitals in the paradise
2) He believes (and vehemently defends) the idea that there will be an American Dictatorship before the time of the end.
3) He believes (and vehemently defends) that things have gotten exponentially worse since the 1970's.

I never stayed home, I went to school birthday, christmas and halloween parties up until the 7th grade when i got "serious".
No one really cares when i did or didnt do it. That was kind of worse than overt persecution. it was as if no one gave a D@mn what you did, kind of made you wonder if you were doing this for any reason. After reading stories of children being persercuted for their views, i'd wonder why i wasnt being persecuted.
I think when it all comes down to it, no one cares whether or not you celebrate holidays or not.

i have just started studying with jws, (on a regular basis) about a month ago, and i really enjoy it.
- i am wondering what will happen in the next couple of months, knowing i will continue going to the kingdom hall and studying.
will i go door to door sometime?
It always amazes me how people stumble onto this site thinking its a pro-witness site. but theres a part of me that thinks the person might be a troll.

it was in the day when the paraffin man went around selling to those that still had the old paraffin burners to keep their house warm.
I was in a parked car, it had manual transmission. I was around 15/16 and i couldnt stop thinking about the gear shift. SO being the genius that i am, i forced the shift out of parking and the car rolled backwards down a hill. I had to physically stop the car with my feet before it could hit some other parked cars. Man did i look like an idiot when they saw what i did :-(.

it's being sold on itunes.. the subject matter alone is enough to make you want to barf but get a load of the music and singing talent on this little gem.
a couple of the tracks landed in an imix of the worst music on itunes.

for me anyways.. i still have nightmares about demon attacks.
that was the one belief that really had a grip on me growing up.
i was terrified of demons and even thought i was being attacked one night for bringing home a toy with a pagan symbol (ying-yang) on it.
Never had nightmares about demons, or anything else really. I have a few family members that practice satan worship, voodoo, (dont ask, lol). The non-voodoo practicers in my family say it doesnt work on them cause either 1) They're too spiritual or 2) They dont believe in it in the first place. So maybe questioning their existence might help?
