  when i read some post on this board, they give me the feeling thet the gb are some crooked pure evil demons.

  i do not believe this, for the following reasons:.

  first of all i think that the issues that come out are actually few, if you compare it to the number of things printed, done etc.. like the un thing.

  Yes I was talking about the governing body. Lets not get started about my friend bush, although what I wrote does make some sence in this context LOL

  I think the "power" the feel they have is limited. They are not living in th ereal world anyway.
  No I really think that they think that they are doing things in the best interest for the "sheep". (including not always telling the truth)

  I do not believe this, for the following reasons:
  First of all I think that the issues that come out are actually few, if you compare it to the number of things printed, done etc.

  like the UN thing. Just a stupid mistake probably. A lot to loose, little to win for them. So with most other things.

  The worry about exact interpretation of the scriptures, who they believe very firmly, but they have more questions then answers. They are unsecure and try to hide that, because it will not be a neat example if the leaders are not very sure about this stuff too. They are affriad of publishing new light or new information on subjects and are worried about the descrease of the expansion.
  basically they aren't very well trained/educated people, the organisation that they lead has grown way to big for them to really handle. They are advised from all angles, with different views about legal and non legal stuff. They will follow accept some of those, without seeing the concequences (like bulgaria blood issue etc).
  They have very few personal gain.

  that is why I think the best word to descripe them is unprofessional

  it has zeroed in on religious history and doctrine to make its case that such religion is false and thus concluded that the watchtower society must be true.

  I think they ovoid this period, because of the 144.000 number.

  But in a watchtower from 1951 I found something about early christian presecution. They say something that in the even only in the province of egypt 140.000 people were killed, because of this prosecution. 800.000 more died of illnesses, famine etc because of the prosecution.

  Well they lived before 1935, after christ, so they have a problem if emphasising this....

  i never thought i would do one of those infamous goodbye i cant take this board anymore posts where the person shows up again a week later and looks like an idiot.

  when i had enough of this board and needed a little break i would just quietly leave for a few months and hopefully nobody noticed.

  that is not the case this time.

  i've always had a difficult time telling people i was a dub, even back in the day.

  it always turned out the anxiety was completely on my side, my friends never thought it was a big deal.

  Well, I think (and this is just my opinion, do not know much about the situation) that you should tell it indeed, but not as something very seriously. Not like "we need to talk...." . Just mention it when there is a opportunity, like talking about family or so. Do not make a big deal out of i. Danny

  i received my first elder call yesterday.

  he wants to talk to me today.

  i have never been afraid of the elders but i also have no experience on what they are going to say because i have never ask for their opinion on anything and i have never been accused of anything either so, any ex or current elders here that can brief me about what to expect?.

  do not say anything that can be expained as apostacy. Be friendly and say something like you do not feel so well lately. Promise yo come more maybe. like that.

  can someone direct me to scriptures in the bible that show that adam and eve will not be ressurrected.

  i ask because my wife, who is a jw insists that this is bible base, yet she cannot provide me any scriptures.

  A Question: I seem to remember back in the 60's a change in understanding over this-- either they decided Adam could MAYBE come back where they did not before or the reverse thereof...

  Do not know. You do not hint to the people of sodom & gemorra?

  I also remember many oldtimers getting pretty much up in the air over this change; maybe as much as they should have been over the generation, the UN, or 75.

  Can not imagine. This is not a big isue I think. Who cares if the naked guy and his chick returns. That reminds me, how a sister got really upset when a elder told from stage that in the paradise we would all be naked (he had some private new light from Jehovah meybe).
