Lulu.com is really cool. They will print anyone's book on demand. So it doesn't have the start up costs like printing it yourself would have.
Oops, I should have read the whole thread before running my mouth. POD (publish on demand) is even worse, the royalties are much lower. The going start up rate for POD is around $2,000
Although this is true for many POD publishers, Lulu.com has no upfront fees at all. The author will make a profit even if they sell only one book (other than the expense of their time of course.)
