  Tarot Cards

  i own five tarot card decks, and use them often.

  not so often that i live my life by them, but enough.

  one deck is one i use more then others, as i feel more of a connection with the cards.

  he would have been 65 on monday.

  just wanted to say i think he is a absolute legend and that his music gets better the more you listen to it.

  i wonder what he would have achieved both politically and musically if he was still alive?

  CoC Book

  i have been fading for over a year now, and have not read coc yet.

  in my personal situation, it has become quite difficult to obtain the book, or to have it sent where im living.

  i have read several posts with others here willing to part with their copy of coc.

  Did the JW religion add stress to your life?

  i was very stressed when i was an active jw.

  i hated going to meetings, knocking at doors, preparing meetings and so on.. i hated talking in front of a group.

  there was too much to read and to prepare, and never felt like i was good enough.. last night i took a walk and passed in front of the book study where i was just a few months ago.

  Stress, guilt, pressure, uncertainty, not feeling like i measure up.... and that was just from doing the text book.

  They would always tell you to 'only do what you can' saying 'as long as you are doing your best'. But in all honesty no amount of service i did was ever enough.

  old heated paint.

  let me explain.

  the old kh i went to would give off this strange smell of burnt paint ever time the central heating was put on.

  yes there is. bacon sarnies mixed with cold weather. Im remembering this from leaving early for assemblies, i was an attendant at many of the circuit assemblies and we used to get there early and be on hand to get bacon rolls that were on sale.

  This was before all food was stopped from being sold in a bid to 'simplify' things. How '1984' is that??

  well well well, kicking the puppy was fun.

  He will be missed. I loved watching the two ronnies as a kid. I rememeber him in Open All Hours "F..f..f..f....f....fff....... fig biscuits!" Im pleased they were able to get togther for the recent series they did showing some of their old sketches.

  well i am new to the board, i have faded away from the truth lies about 6 years ago.

  it still has an effect on me today, so much so i gave the warning in the title.

  this is because one of the things drilled into me, was that its far worse to lead a member of the flock away.

  void.... lots and lots and lots of people feel exactly the same way on here. I know i did when i first came here. I still 'believed' the 'truth'. Dont worry about it, people here are extremely patient, even if you were to accidentally start preaching bollocks to people....

  In time, the more you learn about the real 'truth' the more the JW's lose their grip on you. I can say this because the same has happend to me. Now i no longer feel guilty, or think armageddon is about to turn us into bird food. I feel i have a better relationshp with God too.
