Reveal something "weird" or "unusual" about yourself
by JH inwhatever i drink from the fridge, i put it into the microwave for 10 seconds so that it won't be too cold to drink.. .
whenever i drink ice cold liquids, it irritates my tongue/mouth and often triggers a sore throat.
now you have additional proof that i'm weird .

What would you put in Room 101?
by PaulJ infor those of you that do not know what this is- room 101 is a place where you can bannish forever all the things that really annoy you.
the only requisite is that you have to justify why you want to put that 'thing' in room 101.
(if anyone can explain it better, please go ahead!).

Are there any writers on here?
by PaulJ inok, i work in a dull 9-5 job that is busy but quite boring.
i guess by being a jw in the past i've been encouraged all along to be settled, work to get by.
my focus was supposed to be serving jehovah and nothing else.

"Why do I want to write?"
I've asked myself this and the reason why I want to write is because I enjoy it. Of course, Im sure most writers would like to get published, and I'd be included in them, but thats not what is motivating me. Writing, now I've decided to do it, is quite a focus. I try and write on the train on my way to and from work, plus I like to write before I go to sleep. I'm always thinking about the next chance I'm going to get to write.
Thanks for the advice.

Thanks Bryan and jgnat!
I'm working thru a creative writing course book called "The Creative Writing Coursebook" By Julia Bell and Paul Magrs. The first thing they say is to write as much as possible even if its nonsense, so I'm doing just that.
Thanks for the advice!

The exercise was to write a page (notebook paper) on each of the following subjects-
1. Garden Furniture
2. Marilyn Monroe
3. The Earth's Core
4. Eagles
5. Fireworks
It takes about 5 minutes or so to write each one. The idea is to just go with whatever comes into your mind, even if it goes off at a tangent. One of the points it made was that if you allow go with your instincts, you will probably write memories or common associations eg. "Happy Birthday Mr President!" but you should find something there that will generally suprise you. It worked for me.

Im still at the stage where i dont know what to write. I did an exercise recently that got me to write stuff as i thought it and that was exiting because so much of the things I came out with suprised me.
I've always liked the idea of comedy as I've written a number of sketches, or maybe childrens books, but i honestly dont know.... discovering what im good at writing about is a curious path but Im just enjoying the walk.

Always be focused and give them plenty to do. Talk to them and build a professional relationship with them. Let them know what you expect and what they can expect in return.

I knew a lady who was kind, mellow and very focussed. Then she did something that I felt was so unchristian I couldnt believe it, it kinda knocked my faith at the time.
