Many of the same stories but one I am intrigued with is gluttony.
Apparantly the holy sprit doesn't recognise this disfellowshipable offense.
I have never heard of a case of even reproof but have met so many gluttonous jws. One guy I worked with ate ab. shit all day and boasted to all that he would eat a tub of ice cream each night. Finally his hips gave out under the weight and he needed a double hip replacement. Now an invalid pensioner and an elder.
He needed serious (pych) help and yet he shepards the flock.

What were you disfellowshipped for?
by Kristofer ini recently had a discussion with a witness friend (i'm a secret) and she claimed that witnesses only get disfellowshipped for being unrepentant for immoral acts.
i am curious to know from those who have been disfellowshipped, what was it for?

As I have noted here before, when that "new light" came out, I never graced a kh again.
I had hammered people's doors for 20 yrs telling them that the gen of 1914 will see armageddon. When I approached the "elders" with my shock and dismay about this radical turnaround, they said "What change?" !!
A couple of hrs on the wt CD cleared my head of the wt gobbledegook.
Most jws don't seriously read/study the wt propaganda. Worshipping a god is secondary to being in a community of like thinkers.

Jesus as a teen

i think it would be appropriate if men were to follow his example there should be specific examples of how he dealt with sexual drives, etc.
since testosterone and hormones play a part in a person's sex life.

Yeah, the Gnostics believe that the Maggi didn't just visit jesus at his birth but continued to guide his learning as a master. Kinda obvious when you think of it. They have waited generations for the fulfillment of astrological prophecies, find the messiah, then just forget him??
They claim jesus went wandering to India, China learning all the wisdom from these ancient civilisations, then returned to enlighten Israel.
Only after fasting and meditating in the wilderness did jesus take on the karma of humanity and realise his full potential and purpose.
Makes a lot more sense than the bible account.
