My bath is a bit more basic
We've got it in the garden. Heating no problem, light a fire under it!
Nothing better than leaning back under the stars, candles burning and a favourite drink at hand.. Ahhhh
a few years ago, i took out my bathtub to help my elderly mother that stays with me and installed a walk in shower.
stand up showers are okay, but i miss taking a leisurely hot bath to relax.
this morning i woke up early, have time to kill, and am in a nice hotel.

I jumped, Oh my bruvvers but did not snuff it...
Alex Clockwork Orange
See how deep the rabbit hole goes........
Most of their old crap was on CD when I moved on.
Actually that's how I woke up. Searched the generation doctrine (after 1995 article published) and oops articles went very quiet late eighties early nineties then WHOOM generation? What generation?
my daughter is in 6th grade.. i know from personal experience when i was in jr high that kids can be really mean.
i used to come home crying everyday.
i was told that i was ugly and i would never get married.
In Australian schools bullying is taken very seriously. It got to a point where something had to be done.
Firstly, it's not your daughters problem. It's the bully's. They are the one to be addressed, rather than creating strategies for your daughter to deal with their behaviour. This is the reponsibility of the school. Go to the principle and if you don't get a clear and immediate response go higher in the appropriate goverment dept. If this doesn't get an outcome, go to your local goverment representative. Nothing moves govt reps faster than a vote catcher.
i am not a jw but i am really curious to know why are there so many people who criticize and ridicule them?
please give me some logical answers not personal judgements :p
We picked up the habit of criticising and ridiculing religion from when we were jws....
once again i'm in a philosophical mood: .
we spend our time in avoiding death as though the absence of being was our primary reason or motivator and yet our mere existence is clearly not fulfilling in and of itself (for a nightmare example ask yourself- would you rather die or live in a fully conscious state but be totally paralysed and unable to communicate.
if existence alone is not enough yet we will give almost anything to continue to exist what is it that we are actually aiming for?
To me just being alive is blessing.
What a mystery that my parents survived war, child hood diseases, accidents, to create me. I have survived 52 yrs of fantastic joy and deep sorrow. I have been very close to death many times, in many situations but it wasn't until I looked into my grand daughter's eyes that I truly understood death as my friend.
I must move on to allow my grand child space to be herself.
Life (and death) is not futile. Dying is the greatest gift we can offer to our loved ones.
i am drinking real russian vodka (not stoli) mixed with vermouth on ice
Jack Daniels and cola.
Not a bad nightcap. Saturday.... oops, Sunday morning here
no, not that kind --> .
i'm thinking about the notion of "spirit" as used in the bible, ancient and medieval religion as well as "superstition"... that which is common to "angels," "demons," "ghosts," "souls," the "holy spirit/ghost" -- and even "god," at least according to the fourth gospel; that which underlies such widely different concepts as "spirituality," "spiritualism" or "spiritism".. it seems to me that by stepping into "modernity" we have shifted from a worldview in which the notion of "spirit" was taken for granted and ubiquitous to another in which it is no longer understood.
the johannine sentence "god is spirit" sounds like explaining obscura per obscuriora.
That's a big subject.
I go a little with Burn the Ships here.
I got the best understanding from reading Jung. He proposed a collective unconscious where all past present and future knowledge is. We can manifest any and all of this in the right conditions. So spirt or what others may call energy can be sourced from inside ourselves.
my jw wife was telling me how much better a sister was now shes on prozac it turns out half the congo is on it .
it appears jehovah's happy people are not so happy after all.
Sadly, unlike the rest of the community, it's a subject that is still taboo.
To admit that "true christians" are not travelling so well emotionally and spiritually, is to admit that jw life is not any better than any other.
