CBJ I love modern technology. Can you imagine the old days of ordering vinyl imports and waiting weeks to get them? They were not the good ol' days.

R. Crumb's "The Book of Genesis". Wow!
by metatron ini greatly enjoyed this book - which as the cover tells you, is not for minors!
robert crumb ( "keep on trucking", etc) illustrated it - so the women reflect his famous style of big, thick legged , strong-looking females with firm breasts and big booties.. beyond those amusements, it's really very interesting to read genesis this way.
you start to see the patriarchs as similar to arab tribes or even afghani types - severely traditional, horny and no one to mess with.

Yeah Satanus, when I was a kid, he really was underground. Zap comix could only be bought off street corners from dodgy characters..

I'll search it out. I was raised on "Keep On Truckin'.
One of the best was a street fight between the krishnas and the mormons (or was it jws?) over turf! LOL! Hilarious!

Also CB (as I have stated here before) I met Robert Plant in the late 90's. I was walking past a restaurant in Byron Bay and there was Mr Plant, sitting at a table on the footpath. Normally, I would leave celebs alone, as we get a few here but he had finished eating and looked directly at me and smiled. I dashed into the restaurant and got a marker pen from staff and asked him for his autograph (on my t shirt). I told him I saw him in '72 and he was impressed. He asked me to join the table but for once in my life, I was literally speechless!! I have a (very)Scottish last name and all his roadies were tough old Scots, so they had a great laugh at my exspense. I still have the t shirt, actually just got it out yesterday.....

prana, life force, chakras? What?!
by finding my way ini went to a pranic healing class with my sister in law last week (i've been out 6 years and i'm starting to get pretty open minded).
i didn't expect to feel or experience anything "different".
i thought it was all weird but was not scared of the ideas like i would have been a few years ago.. so anyways we did a couple excercises where we held our hands a couple feet above our partners hands and visualized light in different colors beaming out of ours and hitting theres and then switched roles.

Finding My Way
What lovely words, particularly at a time where this forum is going through some realigning.
My only words are of caution as to what you ask for. CG Jung as noted from Frankiespeakin had a lot to say about raising the kundalini. For him and all others who have done this, there is a period of "crisis". Jung spent the 4 yrs of WWI in a, what psychs would call a psychotic state, with only his longterm lover Toni Wolff, as the anchor to what we term reality, or even sanity. All shamanistic ritual requires this"tearing of the psyche and rebuilding". This has happened to me and it took years of physical and mental realigning to settle. Yes, I have become a more rounded individual and certainly a much better person but it is truly life changing. It's a poor analogy but is like the Matrix movie. Do you really want reality with all its ugliness as well as beauty? The supposed "New Agers" are playing with fire by opening and raising kundalini without proper guidence. Fire can be an amazing tool but it can kill and maim in the wrong hands

As I have stated many times, there are mysteries that science is yet to crack. My personal opinion is that it is the power of the (possibly collective) intent or mind. PSacramento put it well, that he has had yrs of personal experience in martial arts. I too have witnessed masters perform physical feats that mere "training" could not provide.
Also the ancient Eastern cultures are still a mystery to most of the West. I can understand doubters, they simply have not had the passion and interest to search deeply. That's OK. For me, travelling to the Sub Continent and the East, not only freed me from the last of my jw indoctrination, it took me to the deepest darkest, terrifying places that finally cleared fears and psychological issues from my pained childhood.
Sadly there are many charlatans in the "alternative"healing world. I live in one of the leading centres on the planet, Byron Bay. I have been here 35yrs and in that time I have met possibly three people with the abilities that they DO NOT trumpet. It just shines out and they have assisted many to have their eyes opened.
There is so much more to write about but I guess I am preaching to the converted and pissing into the wind to the uninitiated....LOL!!

I reckon it's still the same. Groups form where they chat amongst themselves, ignoring all others, then Whammo, a disagreement rips them all apart...Process starts again. Bit like the Matrix really.
Maybe it's a bit more edgey though, as most of the polite (female mainly) posters have gone silent.
