I managed to get very ill a few weeks ago in Bali via food (I think). Not too hard in a place where many of the "local eateries" have no toilet paper and rarely soap in their squat toilets!! I hasen to add that I take paper and hand wash!!
And yes CC fish n chips plus beer is a safe combination. Add Noosa and I would imagine a relaxing and fun holiday :)

I didn't read Outlaws advice, so this may be covered but strangely, rice is supposed to be the most liable to bacteria if left out. It must go straight to the fridge, or be thrown out after cooking.

i struggle with my feelings, my mom and brother, aunt, cousins are all jw.
My last contact with jws was when an "elder" pulled his car over and walked up to me. He put out his hand to shake mine. I knew what he was up to and ignored it. He started talking, so I took out my earphones. Do you believe blah blah, faithful and discreet blah...No.
Do you believe jehovah blah blah...No.
Well write a letter to the cong blah...No.
Earphones back in. That was oh about 12 yrs ago. Very satisfying!

its not the nicotine that drives me nuts (i chew the gum) it's that hand mouth desire or lack of it.
i am finding myself chewing on pencils or whatever else is around me.
I haven't touched a cigarette in, oh, 4yrs or so. It was definitely the hardest thing to do in my life. Harder than leaving the witnesses or divorce. I accepted that I will always be a smoker, I just choose not to. It gave me power, rather than say, I am giving up, which sounds powerless. It took a couple of go's and then something just shifted. I lost the desire....
Talesin nailed it. It was so hard because cigarettes were always there, in any situation, when humans were unreliable. I finally became responsible for myself and excepted myself, "good" and "bad"
when i was growing up most of the jws around me were poor and lower middle class.
some were middle class, but very few were upper middle class.
only (maybe) about 1% were college educated.
Mental illness isn't limited to the "uneducated"...
i really don't care much for jw's at my door, or at anyone's door.
this chauvinistic, fanatical bully-a-hole, however, is one of the worst examples of a christian i have ever seen.
the jw's handled themselves very well in the face of this ridiculous bullying and taunting by this so-called christian attempting to school the jw's about god and the bible.
I feel sorry for the poor bugger driving, he told them to get in the car at the beginning. He may have had a few choice words for the old couple once they left!
