  hi - looks like an interesting place!.

  i was in the jw's till about 1999 in perth.

  i sort of thought the advice "never complain and never explain" was appropriate, so i just stopped going to the kh!

  the talk given today sounded pretty convincing.

  facts were stated about how our body is designed to live forever (the brain, blood vessels etc) and how all these intricated details about the human body raises us to ask the question: "did not jehovah design us with the purpose of living forever?

  now i've read the threads about how there just would not be enough room in the world for all those people.

  i was one of those victims.

  When I was a jw, a friend of mine's daughter(about 3yrs old) was molested by an 80 yr old ministerial servant. It was hushed up and he was stood down as a ms for a few months.

  Ironically, when she grew up, his daughters immoral behaviour (as a teen) was not swept under the carpet and she was speedily disfellowshipped. Sweet justice jw style.

  Gotta keep the cong clean you know.

  At what age did you start driving a car?

  i always was fascinated with cars and driving.

  when i was a child going to school, often i sat in the front seat, just to look at the bus driver change gears, press on the clutch and just by looking at the way he did it helped me when i drove my first manual transmission car.. here is a picture of my first car.

  If you are under 30, you don't need a work permit. There is a b/packer trail up the east coast. Plenty of work fruitpicking etc. Use good ol'google.

  Over 30 and you are up the proverbial creek. Gov does investigate people who work illegally.

  i made a fine mixture of boston's vodka and one those cheap wine coolers.

  yep, new year's day's a scorcher in sydney, nsw.

  in the city (by the coast) it's hit 45 degrees !!!

  out near bethel it's a few degrees hotter.

  Reckon it was about 34 degrees and the beach was just about perfect today on the NSW north coast.

  Byron Bay was a little mellow after last nights shenanigans.

  Got to bed at 1:00pm. I just woke up.....

  ok, i've looked 3 times now through the new study book: what the bible really teaches and i can't find 1 depection of armageddon in it.

  (if i'm wrong, someone please point it out!

  ) is this the beginning of the society trying to create a more loving image?
