Sleep trouble - any tips??
by Super_Becka inargh, i'm a little on the frustrated side right now, so i'm looking for some help.. i'm usually quite good at getting lots of sleep, i'm usually in bed at a decent hour in the night and can usually get between 7 and 9 hours of sleep a night (more on the weekends, of course), but for the last week or so, i've been having some trouble sleeping.
a scattered night of sleeplessness can be expected from time to time, but it's been about 10 days now, that's a little excessive.
i do all of my usual things during the day - classes, homework, chores, cooking, cleaning, errands - and i never nap during the day, i avoid all forms of caffeine after 5pm, and i always go to bed feeling like it's time for me to go to sleep, i'm usually tired at bedtime, but lately, it's been taking me forever to get to sleep.

I scanned the others comments, so I apologise if I repeat anothers thoughts...
I reckon separate.
You already are emotionally and actually physically now that you sleep downstairs. That is a bizarre situation.
But separation doesn't mean fighting over the kids. Why not rent a place nearby so the children have open and easy access to you both? I am the child of divorce and divorced myself (twice. Ah the jw life)
I sole parented and had a step son. I also work with youth and am currently a foster carer for two 16 yr olds.
After all this experience I believe that both parents need equal time with the children. That children also need to see you guys being civil and yes loving to each other, despite not sharing the same house. Don't forget to celebrate birthdays etc together (Now with new found freedom from jws)
From your post, it appears that you communicate reasonably well with each other, so that is a great start.
Be honest with each other and be as honest as possible with the kids, keeping in mind their tender ages.

For me there is no common sense in suicide. You are correct. Don;t blame anyone.
I see a man who's physical body is failing and he sees his options are limited. His daughters appear to be on their own journey. His relationships are not working and his mind is telling him his decisions are limited. It is Ari's call.

Are you "star-struck" by famous people?
by free2beme ini have had several encounters in my life with "famous" people.
one time, when i managed a movie theatre, ron howard came into the theatre with his family and sister's family.
it was a little time before the show and people in the lobby were bothering him, so we took him to the projection booth to wait and he was actually a nice guy.

Sorry Dave, gotta tell you it goes so quick. One minute I was 40, the next I am 50 (nearly). I forgot thru my forties that I was getting old. Now, I am challenged. The other day a guy said to my girlfriend, " Is your dad visiting??"
I would have laughed it off a couple yrs ago. This time it kicked me in the backside. Where am I going? Am I happy?
On the other hand, I hang out with beautiful young women and have a lot of fun.

Aw OK, prawns (shrimp) straight from the boat.
And Thai food. Haven't met a dish in the kingdom I dont love. Even green papaya salad which has 25 birds eye chillies in it!!
