Biocentrism - Revolutionary theory of looking at existence/reality
by TastingFreedom ini have been reading a book for some time that i find fascinating.
the book is biocentrism, how life and consciousness are the keys to understanding the true nature of the universe by robert lanza.. .
it proposes a theory that is certainly different than how we look at the world.. basically our reality is only a perception that is not absolute but only relative to our life and existence in this particular coordinates of the universe, meaning that our senses perceive space and time only in relationship to our relative existence.

IMHO I have used hallucinogens post jws and they are a glimpse of what is possible to experience if you seriously journey into the "unknown" of the inner cosciousness. I rarely comment in detail on these threads, as it truly is a waste of my energy. I have pursued a truly open mind since I shook off the shackles of jws and their pseudo scientific approach to reality. I have seen enough to realise that a purely scientific approach to a conclusion is also lacking. This also applies to superstition. In the middle is a malaise of possibilities. Ultimately, what will satisfy me when I face the ultimate test of belief, death, is mine alone. Is it possible that we(consciousness) are god and we created gods and goddesses to take the responsibility away, as we are terriffied of being alone in the Universe??

Science and philosophy, not long ago combatants, are spiralling ever closer. Jung must be chuckling....

Australia is a country of massive extremes. Decade long droughts, snow in the middle of Summer ( Hobart), floods that defy imagination. Aus is the same size as mainland U.S. Early last year I flew across it, red desert for 5 hrs. Oct last year flew across and it was green for 5 hrs with huge temporary rivers. Rain forest in the north, windswept cliffs and bays to the south, hammered by Antarctic storms. Bushfires and cyclones are part of this country. As an old aboriginal man once said to me, "This country can kill you".

I can tell you the part about the bros being safe "at this point" in Grafton is a total beatup. I live close to this area and have lived in Grafton briefly. It floods most years there, so the locals are used to it and take the precautions that previous generations taught them. This last rain event was barely a blip on the radar in that area. It wasn't even classed as moderate flooding.

I reckon it's all hormones. To separate us from animals, we created romance. That's not to say that the bonds of love can't form but...relationships are hard work requiring much compromise and energy.
All power to those who have found a compatible mate.
