  An apostate goes public

  i mentioned in a thread some weeks ago ( http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/244078/1/first-public-talk-as-an-apostate ), that i was invited to give a talk at a symposium about cults.

  this will take place at the first weekend in may.. i'm going to talk about the difficulties you have to face when leaving the jw.

  yesterday i've got an another invitation to speak to a senior year class in a middle school.

  It is great that you will be able to speak so freely to young people and make them aware of the various signs to look for. You may unknowingly save someone from the clutches of this cult or another.

  I think certain numbers have a meaning. There is a pattern that's formed - with some anyway and you've just to make sense of it.

  did anyone else do this on sunday mornings: when i was slowly waking up i realised that i didnt want to be at the meetings anymore, my hubby would be sleeping and i realised it was time to get up & get ready, so even though i was bursting for the loo i would hold it so as not to wake him up .

  sometimes i was in pain holding it in , but waited till it was too late to get there on time lol.

  then he would suggest going to the afternoon meeting intead and i would say i didnt like that congregation...you go hahahahaha, funny thing is he never liked going to the meetings by himself!!!

  It was always great oversleeping, like a huge relief that you didn't have to go. Plus you now had the whole day to do what you wanted!

  Sex before marriage would eliminate a lot of unhappy marriages in the Borg...

  sensible, safe sex, in my opinion, should be engaged in.

  because, as you get older and are ready to settle down, you will look at your potential sole mate, not for sexual reasons, but for what they have to offer mentally and if they are compatible.

  when religion restricts this, and yuo must marry to have sex, i believe that you doom a marriage at the outset, because these young folks marry out of lust, only to have the rose colored blinders pulled off later, and regret the entire arrangement... .

  Sexual compatibility is important - and I am all for sex before marriage. Many of us test drive cars before we drive them.

  Who would you date?

  i was just wondering i have a friend who is getting divorced.

  she is 32yrs old and has 4 children ranging from 10 yrs old to 18 mths old and i wonder if she can ever really date again?

  she's a really pretty woman but still i wonder.

  As long as the woman is upfront about her kids - I do not see a problem.

  Who would I date - I'm not that fussy really. Just be a nice bloke, live in my country and be between 33-55.

  I have gone onto the site and read a number of the pages and comments. I have taken the global survey because I hope that it will help somehow. I don't particualarly like joining groups on FB because I get too many notifications. I'll check it out and see.
