Got three more days in this current job, then 5 days off and I start on the 2nd of June. A little nervous and excited and already have some of my current clients interested.

I was fortunate to be recommended for a sales position by a former colleague. The company phoned me and we set up an interview. I accepted their offer - it is nearly double what I earn at the moment. I know that I'm going to have to work hard, but I do already and don't get paid all that well, so working hard AND getting a good salary - well thank you very much.
I have further to travel in the morning, but I don't mind, the route is pretty okay and the traffic flow not so bad.
The newspaper is called Bayede - that is zulu for "hail the king" This paper is indorsed or falls under the domain of the zulu king Goodwill Zwelitini. It is a high end isiZulu paper aimed at the growing black market. I'm looking forward to working on this title - new challenges and I'm going to learn so much about the culture, heritage, language of the isiZulu.
......how tides have turned. Life has gotten so much better and I'm so happy that I hung in there - with the help from you beautiful people.

Is anyone else completely astonished that they're drawing attention to 1914/2014 - 100 years
by jambon1 ini note that they're making reference to this in the upcoming convention programme.
someone has has dropped a bollock here, have they not?.
i mean, if i were a jw, i'd be sitting thinking of all the promises made and broken.

I bumped into an elder that wanted to help me. When I brought up the "this generation will not die" he didn't seem too perturbed, just stated that there has been more light on that! So gullible as ever!

Is honesty the best policy?
by LouBelle ini ask because many a time being honest and telling the truth, even with tact is not met well - in my experience.. in the last couple of days i went for an interview with a company and when asked what my current package was i was honest and told the truth.
they came back with the exact same offer - i then asked if we could negotiate considering my experience blah blah blah - they didn't both to respond and after three emails and asking for some sort of curtesy reply, i got a very offish response.
a collegue i work with went for the same interview, lied about what she earns and they offered her a higher salary and were happy to negotiate even higher.

A collegue I work with went for the same interview, lied about what she earns and they offered her a higher salary and were happy to negotiate even higher.
Now this may come down to just to small details like they want my collegue to work for them and not me - which is fine.
Second example - at my current work - I have been honest in all my dealings, when I sell to clients, the figures I put down. When it comes to paying out my commission the managers have found fault in order to pay less. When I pull out the written down facts and am open and honest about it - again it's not well met, it's met with ""put in a grievience and follow that process, see if you like it""
Thirdly - All the back biters and ass creepers get all the leads from managers. They don't make calls and don't canvass and yet will end up with more adverts / sales than those that do make the effort.
So is being honest....truly....the best policy.

Any active jws, without using the phrase "God must have..." Can you prove that Noah's ark actually happened
by DuvanMuvan ini have a number of problems with the noah's ark story that i could never find the answer to in the bible and so i thought i could ask here:.
1.how did noah get animals that are indigenous to areas he could not get to (e,g penguins, koalas, kangaroos, moose etc) .
2.the flood supposedly happened around 4000 years ago but there is evidence of civilisation dating back a lot further.

In just about every religion there is some sort of flood story - There are major flood stories in history. Doubt it was a god thing. Just nature.
(didn't read any of the other posts and just wanted to say that)

March Moooooodiness
by LouBelle ini had a fantastic february, went over my sales target by 121 %, did a fabulous school pull out feature (all on my own) wrote a couple of stories that got printed in the paper.
i was go go go in feb. then come march, work forces a technical error issue to arise regarding previous months sales (they don't want to pay me the full 10k) and in order to fight it - takes far too much stress so negotiated an agreement (settling on 7.2k).
that kind of took the wind out of my sails/sales, just haven't felt like selling again, went for another job interview, they offered exactly what i'm getting here and when i tried negotiating they haven't even had the ettiquette to return calls / emails.
