  Does the WTBTS still control your life?

  do you follow the arrangement dictated by the governing body of jw's regarding df'd and da'd individuals?

  do you shun the jw's like you are expected to by wt leaders or do you speak to jw's and greet them with a smile even if they shun you when you do so?

  in complying with wtbts rules of acceptable behavior for da'd or df'd persons do you think that you are showing unconditional love to your neighbor?

  Dune - the KM 8/02 is outdated - there is a NEW thought. I have the new organised to accomplish our ministry, released not so long ago - and it does say on pages 154 - 157 that if you associate with a disfellowshiped person, you face the same fate - I had to read up on it because I wanted to find out all about disfellowshipping and disassociation.

  And for the record it's very true that the WTBTS teaches certain things and yet do not practise what the preach - case in point: To be declared disassoctiated, one has to give a written or verbal statement to this effect.....however in practise as long as they deem it fit they can say (without a written or verbal statement) that you have disassociated yourself. This is not something I've made up - this is fact - it happend to my mother on the 2nd of June @ the theocratic meeting, morningside congregation, durban, south africa......

  this always seems to be one of those questions i've asked before but which never quite gets answered by jws.

  do you believe that jws need a mediator beteen god and men?

  Madmax - was it like that - don't the 144 000 have direct communication with Jah, and the normal great crowd hve to go through Jesus - or perhaps my thought pattern has changed so much I've forgotten. Hmmm I could check it in the Reasoning from the scriptures......I get sick at the thought.....

  Well the thing is that at the end of the day it only benefits the first prize winners. There-after you get the boo boo prize.

  i often wonder if i'll ever be able to go to my niece and nephews graduation, wedding, birth of their first baby.....the borg keeps saying that the end is nigh and yaddah yaddah yaddah...which we all know is crap...but when will their end come???

  i miss my sis and my brother and even my psycho mom, b/c she's my mom and i love her...i mean...they can't keep this crap going forever...can they??.

  Aish - I reckon people will seriously start doubting that faith if the end actually don't come within say 3 years......cos so many believe it's just about to explode. I reckon a lot will fall away soonish *yay we can hope and pray*

  thinking of having a bible study

  what do you think would happen if someone where to have a bible study with the sole purpose of asking lots of awkward questions just to get the reaction of the witnesses?

  I actually asked for a bible study - but told them very plainly I don't want to have publications thrown at me - I've studied them before. Use the bible only and then I don't mind. That was six months ago - and still nothing.

  Jaffacake - how are you finding the study. I would truly like to know? And what do you then believe?

  I'm finding that the minute I realise that I'm reading something from the borg I start feeling ill. I'm so sick & tired of excuses excuses excuses - I've even told this to some of the JW's that want to know why I've left. I'm sick & tired of hearing "we are not perfect" "we are only human" "everyone makes mistakes" *scream* NOT IF YOU ARE MEANT TO BE THE TRUTH......They are truly the mondern day pharasees - they are white washed graves!

  my last meeting was a thursday night where I was meant to give a talk & the last moment an elder told me he got a call saying I'd stumbled someone because I don't have a good standing before Jehovah (I had wanted to really get back into the swing of things and had launched myself into this religion again.....) I literally sobbed for an hour, during that time no one came and asked if I was okay - I got up, sobbed my way out of the hall & have never looked back. I cannot go there again! Never!

  Do you have family members or friends in the "truth" who still.............

  treat you as they use to ?

  im df'd and i have a family member who will still go to the bar with me, come to my house and hang out with me, but in certain situations, he wont because the witnesses may may see.

  places like restaurants where the witnesses frequently go, it wont happen.

  JWs & Religion

  one of the major things the watchtower teach is learning religions and how important it is to find out if one is catholic or baptist or so forth.

  i can recall when i was studying with my ex-inlaws in the blue, "truth," book, there's a chapter on, "why is it wise to study you're religion.

  " there you'll discover it covers just a few tibbits on most major religions.

  The other day 2 witness ladies came to see how I was doing. They asked that if I wasn't going to go to meetings @ the kingdom hall what church/religion would I be going to. So I just said that i don't feel that any religion has the truth and that I'm not following anyone/thing just that I'll be trusting in God & His direction. Then they wanted to know who'd I'd be fellowshipping with - so again I said God will provide, I'll be able to find people to speak to him about, but it's not necessary that I do because with God I don't need anything.......anyway they left not understanding the faith I have in Him.
